New to this so hoping I’m posting correctly.. was riding yesterday and engine shut down like it ran out of fuel.. occasionally would start but will only idle, once I give it throttle it dies. Backfires occasionally when trying to start back up. I noticed electronics started flickering and then lost all juice. I traced it to the small red wire coming from battery area, it was grounding out between the 20 amp breaker pack and the front of machine. Fixed the grounding issue hoping it would fix the problem… electronics back on but again it starts up and idles fine but shuts off after giving it fuel. Is it possible since it was grounding out after the breaker it burnt up something else?
I was wondering if any of you have had first hand experience with registering a quad in California-after it hasn’t been registered for several years.
I’m worried that if I give them the VIN and it’s still in there, I’m going to get nailed…I know there’s only one way to find it out if it has been dropped from the system, but would like to know other’s experiences before I head into that nasty place…
I recently acquired a 2001 Polaris scrambler that will not get spark. I ohmed out the stator and trigger coil. They both tested fine, I then tested for A/C voltage and found I was getting 16 volts when testing the red/blk and red wires. I then tested my wife’s 2000 scrambler 500 and it was putting out 216 volts. So I condemned the stator. I ordered one for a 2001 and found out it was on back order through Caltric, so I ordered a kit that includes all the electronic ignition components. I thought I ordered it for a 2001; however I recieved a stator for a 2000. The plug at the CDI box is different, it has a three wire plug consisting of a green wire, Rd/blk wire and red wire. The 2001 wire is a 2 wire consisting of red/blk and red wire. Can someone tell me if the three wire stator can be modified to work on the 2001 with 2 wires?

Hey guys, I just bought an 08 Honda Rancher 420 that is smoking. So I did a compression test and I’m getting close to 90 PSI. Valve seals? I’m guessing so.
Any way, it has a HMF exhaust, no programmer, with a uni air filter. I’m planning on keeping the HMF, so is there anything else that I need to put with it? Or am I good to go? Thanks
Trying to fife out the problem with my 570 I flipped it a few days ago but everything is ok runs good starts right up feels normal but I’ll be riding now an out of nowhere big just turns off I try to start is right back up it just runs for a sec an stalls then cranks an cranks an won’t start. Then I left it sit for a few min an fires right up like normal an drives good again. Ben trying all day to figure it out. Please help if you have the knowledge. Thanks.
