my brother in law just recently bought an 08 800 and it’s giving him the low oil pressure code, he put a pressure gauge on it and is only showing 5lbs at idle but shooting up to normal pressure when throttled, what could this be the oil screen? or is it early symptoms of the pump
I thought some people may like to see a little comparison between these two machines. I just picked up the AC about a month ago. I was going to get another Polaris, but I saw the AC for sale at a different place for about the same amount (in my location) that it would cost for a 570 with EPS – and I thought it would be fun to have 2 different machines to ride. So I came home with the Arctic Cat XR 550 XT with EPS. The AC only has about 35 miles on it so far and my wife has rode most of those, but I have some impressions to share.
Overall, I would say the AC has more features on it as compared to the Polaris 570 EPS. Right away I noticed that the AC has front A arms and electronic 4wd lock on it, which the 570 doesn’t. However, the AC has less power, the 570 is 44hp, the AC 550 is 40hp. You can tell the difference, but it’s not a huge difference. I’d say the AC has a better finish to it, especially the gear lever, it goes into park/neutral ect very smoothly compared to the Polaris. The 570 feels like a bigger machine than the AC when I ride it, but I suppose part of that could be due to the accessories on it. The AC has better headlights, and has cool LED accents on them as well. I’d say the AC also has the better seat, too. As far as ride comfort goes, it’s kind of hard to tell. The AC is comfortable, but the store I bought it from set the shocks to the softest setting, and there is way too much lean to it right now. I need to tighten it up a bit.
A couple of other negative things about the AC, is the lack of storage. There is only one small compartment in the back. And the stock tires it comes with really suck bad. Although, it does come with nice rims, not those bland stock ones like on the Polaris.
I don’t have a lot of time on the Arctic Cat yet, and so far I can’t really say I like one much better than the other right now. But if I had to pick one to ride right now, it would be my Polaris.
So i flipped the quad and rode it most of the weekend after flipping but something ended up coming loose in the clutch and now it wont move. I took the clutch cover off and found 2 really small bolts laying at the bottom. Any idea what they are from? My dealer can’t fit me in for at least 3 weeks so i figured i would try my luck.bolt is small only about a 1/4 inch long.
Hi guys. I have a spare 125 Trd motor from a 1986. Does anyone know what that would fit in? Looking for any type of project, preferably with two wheels. Maybe a 50 or mb5, something similar. Let me know what you guys think.

I figured I would do a proper review on my new trailer – the Triton ATV88-TR – since I know I appreciate when people give their reviews on equipment that I may consider buying. It is a 2 spot side load ATV trailer. I own a 14 Polaris 570 and a 15 Arctic Cat XR 550 XT – both ATV’s fit no problem. The price I paid is $1,399 – not including tax and registration.
I have only used it for one day but I can tell you that I really like it so far. There are a couple issues I have though – first, is when I was installing the brackets – apparently I over-torqued one of the bolts, but it sure didn’t seem like I tightened it that much – anyways the bolt broke off. So I will have to order another.
Second, I have the TR model, which is the twin ramps version. They are stored underneath the trailer. They have hooks on the end that hook onto the lip of the side of the trailer for loading. The ramps seem sturdy enough – but my issue is that they are very narrow. I didn’t measure, but it seems they are only about 10 inches wide. The aftermarket tires on my 570 don’t fit in the groove of the ramps. So that made things interesting.
I already own another ramp though, one that I used to run up my ATV to the back of my Dodge RAM. I have been using that one instead – It’s this ramp if anyone is interested:
One last complaint – is when driving and you hit a bump, the ramps underneath bounce against the brackets that secure them in and it makes quite a bit of noise. That is kind of annoying. I may try to put some cloth or something in there to try to fix that. Actually, now that I think about it, I may just take the ramps out since I have the other ramp I will be using. Problem solved.
Other than the issues I noted, I am happy with it. Everything else has worked great so far and it does what I need it to do.
