2000 big bear shuts off shortly after starting

Hello new to the forum so if I’m missing info just let me know. Alright so I recently purchased a 2000 big bear 400cc 2×4, and it ran perfectly for the first day but being a new owner and all I left the fuel switch on overnight and didn’t realize until the next morning when it wouldn’t start, so I took off the spark plug pushed out the fuel by pushing the start button and then noticed a fuel and oil mixture in the air box so I cleaned it out along with changing the oil which had gas in it as well. The next day I got it started but it would almost shut off but I would keep it alive by pumping the throttle and I figured it was the carb so I partially took it apart and cleaned it with carb cleaner (it didn’t seem dirty at all and the diaphragms appeared to be in good shape) and now it won’t stay on for more than five seconds without cutting off unless I press the throttle slightly than it will run for as long as I press the throttle, and so that’s where I’m at. Thanks for reading and any helpful advice would be greatly appreciated.

TRX 300 FW Steering Shaft Bushing Replacement?

Was riding our 300 FW and suddenly the steering shaft got really loose. Discovered the bushing near the top inside the clamp is missing. I ordered a replacement bushing and wondering how to replace?
I’m hoping I don’t have to tear down the whole front end. Would be nice if the bushing had an opening to allow sliding it around the shaft. Does it? Any help appreciated!

TIA

might be on to something here.

been reading a lot about the heat issues on the xmr. i pulled the inner wheel fenders to look around mostly to see about the air box issue and i still can’t see or feel a hole in it. what do i have to pull off to be able to see if there is a hole in it?

I’ve been thinking about adding a second radiator and fan on a switch close to where it goes on the non xmr outlanders. has anyone done this? thinking of getting a radiator off a honda or something and trying to see if i can’t get the motor itself cooler so its not as hot riding and idling therefore not getting the hot plastics and melting issues.
