400ex bogging down

Alright so I have a 2003 400ex I just rebuilt the whole top end and now it bogs down like it’s running out of gas. It will start up and idle just fine I can rev it up and everything but when I go to ride it I can get about 50 feet before it starts bogging down like it’s not getting any fuel and does but then it will start right back up and do it again. Any help would be greatly appreciated thank you and God bless.

Greetings from Rhode Island

Hey guys,

Newbie here.
From Rhode Island, land of nowhere to ride. Luckily I have some friends with property in the northern part of the state. I’m a rigger and printing press mechanic by trade. Been fortunate to travel the country for work. Which is both a blessing and a curse.
I own a 2000 Polaris Scrambler 500 4×4. It’s my second scrambler.
I previously had a 2000 Scrambler 400 2X4. Really enjoy them both.
I’ve owned the 500 for about 6 months. Had to tackle some minor issues along the way. Had to install a new cam a few months back since the exhaust lobes on my stock cam became non existent.

I figured I may as well join a community of owners so I can read and learn. And post if need be, to pick everyone’s brain .

So I’ll end with a question. As previously stated, I have a 2000 Scrambler 500 4X4. I’m a big guy, 6’3 350 pounds. My rear spring isn’t cutting it any more. Even with the spring adjusted all the way compressed I still obviously compress the hell out of it. Though it still rides ok. I want to purchase a spring that keeps my ride height without compressing, or if it doesn’t compress at least not as much. Aftermarket stuff is very limited. I haven’t found many HD springs. And what I did find is only rated for about 220 pounds. I’m wondering if I can find a spring off a larger polaris ATV/ side by side that I could swap in to solve my problem. I’ve used the search a bit but I haven’t found the info I’m looking for. Any help is appreciated.

Cheers!

06 Rancher 350ES 2X4 – Diaphragm

I got a 06 Rancher 350ES 2X4 & I am looking for some help. I had my carb rebuilt by a jack-leg last year and I believe he put a diaphragm in there that is too big. Both the Bowl Gasket and Diaphragm are a good 1/8-1/4" to big in circumference. I finally got the bowl gasket to seat but I cant get the diaphragm to seat without folding it. Sorry I am a virgin to carb rebuilding and any advise would be greatly appreciated.
