cvt intake filter

just wondering if any of you guys are using one? i put this makeshift foam filter on since new, its not clamped or anything just sitting on top of the intake.
you wouldn’t believe the stuff i get off it and i have to shake it off often.
all that crap is going right into the belt housing and clutches.
i think there should be something on it stock, its just a big garbage vacuum and you wouldn’t even know its putting shit into your belt housing.
i was surprised myself.

Clutch gurus step in.

Ive searched, I can’t find anything. I’m. Running a full replacement primary currently and stock secondary.
If I upgraded to a STM secondary, will. I see improvement in times in the 300ft and or 0-60?
The ramp change should help acceleration correct?
Or have I confused myself?

2 wheel drive conversion….

Out of sheer curiosity, I want to make my G1 2wd. I plan to pull the front diff, drive shaft, and axles. Ill leave the through shaft, and hack the wheel ends off some junk axles to hold the hubs on up front.
After that get some adapters to run a offset wheel tire combo like a 450 sort quad.
This should shave a ton of rotating mass and a few pounds overall.
Anyone done anything similar?

Non-Running bayou 300.

Hello. I have a 1996 Kawasaki bayou 300 4 wheeler that I cannot get to run.

I bought this 4 wheeler on craigslist and I can not get it to work at all.

I re-timed it, I bought a brand new carb, I have adjusted valves. I have gotten the engine to the point it ONLY starts when I cut off the air-flow to the carb in the air box and it will run for maybe a few seconds and then cut off. It revs very poorly when it does cut on.

4 Wheel drive not working diagnosis

So my buddy calls me the other day and explains his 4 wheel drive just all the sudden quits working on his SXS and can I take a look at it. Said yeah sure no problem just give me a call when you get ready to bring it by. Long story short he brings it by and we simply unload it and leave it in the side yard next to the shop. He said he thinks it’s electrical because it "just quit all the sudden". So an hour or so goes by after he leaves and I’m working in the shop, go outside to take a leak and happen to look over at his SXS and what do I see? His "Electrical problem"…. Anyway I got a laugh out of it thought I’d share…

Heated grips loose, superglue not working

I have Moose heated grips, they’re been on there for years.

When I installed them, the directions said to soak everything in WD-40 for a while, and then hit it again just prior to install, so the grips would not get stuck halfway on. Said not to use any glue.

The installation went exactly as described, and they were tough to get all of the way on. They were rock solid for a long time. But now they are getting loose, twisting and slipping, especially when they are heated up.

I have tried slipping them partway off, applying some super glue, and sliding them back on. I use the gel stuff so that it doesn’t set up immediately and get stuck halfway back on.

The problem is that it just shoves the glue out of the way and I end up with a big bead of glue at the end and the grips still twist.

How the heck should I lock these things down?
