06 Sportsman 500 EFI Backfire Issue
Unit idles fine but backfires when any throttle applied.
Originally they said it was sensor in the airbox….solved nothing. Then they replaced the injector and MAP sensor grommets….solved nothing.
Now they want to start replacing PDM and ECM? Could either of these cause a backfire issue? I don’t want to dump big money into parts for no reason anymore.
Should they not have a way to bench test or check if they are ok via laptop?

Oil change gone wrong. Oil filter came apart.
So went for a ride(under a half hour it went, maybe only 15 minutes) then engine started to die out and locked up. Can smell a rubber like smell afterwards. So checked under quad and there was oil spots. Drain plug was on properly so checked the filter and found it split apart as seen in the picture.
Also attached a picture of my other spare filter so you can see what it should look like and the code that popped up but I didn’t find the code in the service manual I d/l’ed from here.
Any one know what the code is exactly? As the engine seized I am guessing it is that or engine oil related. Haven’t had the chance to take apart yet. Sent an email to K&N to see what there actions will be and if they would cover the damage there product caused.
If not then I am going to have to cover the costs as it is out of warranty and throw rest of truck/atv/outboard filters I have left(K&N) and switch to another brand.

I plan running a set of Zillas 26-9-12 front and
26-11-12 rear. I know the stock wheels have different offsets just wanted to be sure this combo will work. Amazon shows these rims will not work but they were the only ones to show that. Every other place shows these rims fit. Thanks in advance

Anyone else going and don’t mind a klingon?
If not, can anyone recommend the best RV campsite or area to go? We went once, but my experience is still pretty limited as to where to go.
