Bent/damaged real diff ?

Hi,
Wanted to see what others think of the rear diff on this 2010 grizzly 700.

To me it looks like something is wrong, but not sure how severe.

The owner said that the previous owner may have backed too far into the trailer, hence the cracked light as well.

Should I be concerned?

Ive been looking through this other thread talking about using a brace.

Thanks for all your help and feedback

Shock interchange

Looking for a set of shocks for my 2015 SP1000 Touring. It is my understanding that the Scrambler and Sportsman are the same chassis. I also assume that the touring is same as well?

I have found a good used set of Fox shocks that are off of a 2009/2010 Sportsman 850 and am looking to make sure that the fitment will be correct?

compression loss

Hi guys
Just took my bike in to have the valves adjusted. I got a call from them asking if my bike has ever been swamped.
It has! When I swamped it, It did not hydro lock on me. I changed the oil like 10 x in the bike.
They told me that they did a compression test and the Front cylinder was at 140 lbs of pressure and the Rear cylinder was at 80 lbs. The bike seems to run fine.
The last time I had it out, I had over heating issues with it. As soon as it would get hot and my temp light come on, I would shut it down or drive it in the lake to cool it off.
Thats a whole other story. Anyways I’m just wondering If i’m looking at a rebuild or if I should just ride it and see what happens!
I’m interested in knowing if anyone has had a similar problem.

Thanks guys
ToddC

Throttle stop set screw

Hey Guys, 2005 Sportsman 800 here

Been chasing an annoying issue with my idle/throttle cable.

Problem:
-Idle changes with the bars being turned.
-Zero play at the thumb throttle, if adjusted within spec, bike does not idle.
-ETC is not the problem.
-Cable is routed correct and moves freely (cleaned and lubed)

My assumption is:

-My throttle cable is adjusted too tight to compensate, opening the throttle body and acting as an idle screw.
-Loosing that play causes the idle to raise and lower with the movement of the bars.
-My throttle stop set screw isn’t adjusted properly making it useless. Now the bike is idling off of the throttle cable setting.

I can only find references to the "Air Flow" screw in the Service Manual. Is that the same as the Throttle stop set screw as it also makes mention of this screw in the diagnostic section? I feel like it isn’t and don’t want to mess with the Air Flow screw as it’s tied into the TPS.

Thanks for any input!
