Please post what you are getting on a tank with your 570. I realize there are variables for mileage but let us know the type of riding you are doing, if you have bigger tires or other things that affect mileage (mud, low range, steep hills, weather, etc). When I hit the trails I plan to take a friend that will be riding my 600. Expecting much better mileage from the 570. I was able to pick up a set of Goodyear rawhides on steel wheels from an older Sportsman so both machines will be using the same wheel and tire set up.
This is my first personal atv, I’ve worked on a couple friends but none were a Polaris. I picked this up for dirt cheap and have some time to fix her up.
What I’m working on right now is the clink and clank coming from the clutch. The outer and inner clutch housing I believe needs replacing as it is cracked in places, rubbing clutch, and missing bolt holes. Currently I just have the outer one off. Now to the sound – as the idle slows down to a stop I hear the weights clinking. 2 out of 3 of the weights move freely side to side. I was doing some research and see there are various boots, washers, etc that can be replaced. My question is where should I begin? Do the weights have side rubber washers, do the allen key pins that go through them wear out and create slack? And anything else I should know in fixing the sound.

So I finally was able to use this 570 for the first time over the weekend. I mostly rode on a old railroad grade and some woods trails with rocks. I like the machine compared with my older machine. I did notice the excessive heat on the right side and the seat itself got pretty warm. It does seem to engine break quite hard in H when around 10mph, actually seems to lock up rear tires. I didn’t notice after the first day but when loading up on the 4th I noticed something happened to the plastic on the right side (see pics). My guess is the heat from exhaust. Any insight on what it may be and what caused it? Thanks

I’ve had it about 10 months now and it has seems to have
developed a Starting issue that happens time to time
the machine will fire up its electronic display ,and will prim it`s
fuel pump then ill go to start it and it will make a faint click up
front in the nose of the machine and I’m not sure what it is ,but
I think it could be a starter solenoid ,But I’m not sure

I am having a serious issue. When the atv is cranked and at an idle it runs fine, but when any throttle is given it chokes the motor and cuts it off. I have stripped down to the carb and I am ready for any guidance. Is it in the carb? gas? I’m in need of help with this issue. Thanks
