The NHRA is in town this weekend, and I just bought my tickets for Friday rounds 1 and 2 of qualifying. Always a good time and can never believe the power these little 500 CI engines can make. 🙂 Even more amazing is that they can hook up to the track and go with that much HP.
i jut bought a 01 sportsman 500ho. I knew the awd was not working once I got it. I read up and grounded my awd front coils. my speedo is not working also bypassed the speedo for the awd. I have ground on brown/white wire at awd switch. I have no power from the grey/white that goes into the awd switch. were does the power come from for the grey and white wire. my neutral light works. the neutral light stays on in reverse. I get no awd light. I have one awd coil that is open the others about 24 ohms. but from what I see from the diagram there not in series so I should have atleast one front wheel working. any hlp would be great thank you so much!!
Hey everyone I’m new here from Muscadine,Alabama. I bought a 2005 Honda rancher AT 400… I was going through the motor since I got it so cheap knowing you had a shifting issue with the angle sensor. Code 6. I pulled the covers off the front and rear And noticed the lower all pressure relief valve was stuck, and the oil collar in The top right corner of the rear crank case cover is missing. What is the part number to this or where can I find it? Or what will work in its place if anything? Any help is greatly appreciated…
Hi guys I have a 06 rancher a 07 rincon and 07 recon that’s been out of commission for about 3 years hit a ruff spot in life and haven’t been into ridding them. The atvs still had gas in them which is bad now and the battery’s are shot so I was going to drain gas and change oil on it but wondering if there’s anything else I need to do like put some kinda gas treatment in it or carb cleaner through it first as I no nothing on how to take a carb apart and clean one. Thanks ln advance
I read through all the related threads and I seem to have a unique situation.
Electrically I believe all is well I have power at the connector and the 4×4 displays on the cluster as it should. 27 ohms on the coil.
2006 Sportsman 500 HO EFI
Fluid level is full and clean as I just changed it.
With the quad in the air in low or high in AWD the front left spins but I can hold it from spinning pretty easy. The front right tries to spin but doesn’t. It is basically freewheeling.
In reverse with the override pressed, the left front is very strong and difficult to hold back. The right side spins very slowly.
Is this behavior normal?
Also, since electrically everything is in order my guess is mechanical.
Are the front diffs rebuild-able? I did a search and only found 700 and up listngs.
Any help steering me in the right direction is appreciated
I’m not big on spending the money on aftermarket wheels and tires especially for something that does nothing but wear out, I’ve found the stock Carlisle tires have done me very well.
That being said I was out riding somewhere and I picked up a nail and the tire slowly leaks if I park just right. I’m going to pull it out and plug it, the thing is that the head of the nail is lodged right in the base of a lug on the tire and the point is exposed (weird right).
Anywho I picked up a factory tire and I want to put it on a factory wheel and make a mount and carry a spare with me on long trips. I’ve looked everywhere including craigslist and can’t seem to find a spare wheel. So my question is where can I find either a brand new one or a used I don’t care.
are these " band it " type clamps a special order item or can i get from the auto parts store ?? If so do they work as well as oem types ? Anybody know the torq specs off the top of their head for a 450 kodiak front cv boot clamp ??
I have a project at my house at wondering if anyone on here could offer some insight on pricing. Most people have said its about ten bucks a sq ft foot. However my project is ready for the mud. No forming rebar or dirt work involved. Wondering what would be a resonable amount for just tge concrete part. Thanks a lot.
