Ok guys, I am looking to upgrade shocks on my 2015 xmr 800, and am interested in the fox shocks listed in the can am accessory catalog. I have seen various threads about these shocks, and how many have upgraded to them after the factory ones failed. Xmargh even had a recent thread about swapping factory outlander springs to these after the springs that come on them, (xxc renegade springs if memory serves) began to fatigue over time. This was my intent, buy the fox replacements from can am and swap my springs over. When looking in the 2017 catalog, the fitment description specifically excludes the 800 xmr. Ironically, the same day I was looking at shocks, I was also looking at highlifter signature series bracket lifts. They too specifically exclude the 2015 800 xmr. I called Highlifter, and the answer I got was that they’re having trouble keeping up with all the variations in can am suspension components, and the issue with that specific lift had to do with shock eyelet diameter variations between outlander models. I also called a reputable can am dealer and asked why the 2017 catalog exempts the xmr 800 from their fitment list, when the 2015 catalog did not (the 2015 catalog is still available online). The dealer I called has yet to find an answer. I know I am cramming a lot of info into one thread, but I have two questions. Anyone have any idea why can am would now not recommend the fox replacements for the xmr 800? Is anyone out there running the Highlifter 2 inch signature series bracket lift, and if so, were there any figment issues?
Okay… so no judgment. but on my 2014 grizzly 700 i wore my back breaks out past the metal and actually skimmed about a 16th of an inch off the caliper ram. The rotor actually looks fine though. Do you think i can get away with throwing new pads on and not buying a new caliper. i mean the ram is only a tee bit shorter now . :icon_ cry:

Hey Polaris ATV Forums, time for our first contest! If we can get some great participation on this, I’ll have more and more to give away in the near future!
What you can win:
I’m giving away a $250 credit on the RMSTATOR website. This will get you a new stator, voltage regulator, CDI, Flywheel, AC->DC Ignition Conversion Kit, and more! I was going to give away a specific part, but I’d rather the winner get to choose so you can get whatever part you need for your particular ATV. The winner will get a PM on the forum with a discount code to use on our website. It will be good for at least one month after the contest ends, and can only be used once.
How Long is the contest?
The contest will end on August 1st, 2016. I’ll be picking a winner from all the entries and will post the winner on August 2nd, 2016.
How do I enter?
Easy! Reply in this thread and tell me about the worst electrical problem you’ve ever had with your ATV, and how you fixed it. Bonus points for posting a picture of your ATV! Extra bonus points once I narrow the entries down to couple finalists if you’ve liked the RM Stator Facebook page!
Thanks for entering, looking forward to hearing your stories!
I’m wanting to run Shell Rotella T6 synthetic in the 700 Griz but I can only find it in either 0W-40 or 5W-40 weights, and the manual says it’s ok to use everything BUT those weights…5W-30, 10W-30, 10W-40, 15W-40, 20W-40 and 20W-50.
Would it be ok to use the Rotella 5W-40 or do I need to stick to what’s specified in the manual?
