New trailer ver 3.0
We are going into the Frank Church Wilderness to explore the old mines from the early 1900.
The Car Top carrier is dust/rain proof so that is for the sleeping bag, pillow and blanket, you really don’t want them all dusty. The top deck is held in place by the straps of the carrier until I move it to the front and with it’s support it becomes my work table. I put a rear table on so I could have a dinning table. The tongue stand will keep the whole thing level for me. I did remove 1 leaf out of the springs so the trailer would not bounce down the trails so bad. It is now rated for 600 lbs of gear which is plenty.
Cargo area is 36X48
Front table is 30X30
Back table is 17X34
Scrambler 1000 XP quality
I bought a Chinese Renli SXS and lost quite of money due it breaking everyday. Sold it as scrap and decided to pull the trigger to buy something I can have many years and be happy.
I decided to buy the Scrambler 1000 XP and ordered it, hoping the insane amount of money they cost here (Almost 20 000 $) will mean same quality as price.
But further I dig on the web the more I think maybe scrambler is not so durable as I tought. I just drive nicely on forest trails and some small mud puddle here and there. Don’t plan any agressive driving or jumps.
I tries ordering 2017/hoping for some improvements but dealer says no change, and can’t order 2017 yet anyway.
So before I spend my savings next week I’m open to any advice. I tried speaking to the dealer about problems (differential, frame
…)/and he says all of them were heavily abused. Altrough some of this people say it was not the case.
Are there any changes to 2017? Should I avoid 2016?

New GPS!
I picked up a Garmin Montana 610t on eBay.
:lala:
Now to get the powered mount / Ram mount combination and get it all installed. Kinda looking forward to that project. :getrdone:
Now to find a home for the Garmin 62st. :icon_ goofy:
