Hello fellow 4 wheelers I have a 2005 TRX 400 FA which was not shifting. I replaced the angle sensor and now it works well when in drive but if at any time I put the thing in reverse it sets code 5 and misses badly. I am not able to get it to shift in any forward gear until I turn it off and restart it. What have I done wrong?
Anyone else had this code 5 in reverse or have any idea where I start to figure it out?
Testing did show that the throttle sensor to have some drop outs and at WOT it drops off to 310 ohms. Not sure that has anything to do with the missing in reverse though.
I just replaced both master cylinders on a 2001 sportsman 400. Auxiliary brake (rear) bled real good, works like a charm! Question is….. After replacing the pull handle m/c,which caliper do I bleed first, rear caliper or the front two? Thanks
I pulled my plug the other day to see what it looked like and it was faint grey almost white. Installed it back checked my valves and ran at idle for nearly 5 minutes revving to half throttle a few times. Pulled the plug and it’s pretty black. I’m running a Lexx Mxe slip on, no air box lid with moose filter. Checked my carb and the main is a AB168, 42 pilot screw and 2-1/2 on the air/fuel screw stock needle position, 740 elevation . Question is what does the AB stand for? And does this sound like the right jetting 168 seems to be alot compared to the stock 148. I’m installing a HD cam chain and stage 1 hotcam and want the jetting right before starting
I am new to this forum, however I have done quite a bit of searching online to find some good aftermarket wheel / tire setups for the Scrambler 850xp with not the greatest of luck. I’m mainly curious to see what wheel, wheel offset, and tire people have gone with. If you post a picture, please write what you have for your wheel / tire combo. I would be interested in hearing about peoples experiences with different tire and wheel offset combos in relation to their trail riding and what people have found to be of the best overall wheel offset for a great ride (mainly trail riding with some minor mud involved). My hope is to get a lot of different combos in this thread to see a lot of available options prior to pulling the trigger on purchasing a wheel / tire combo.
My son rides his 2016 ds90 for fifteen minutes or so and it just shuts off while driving. Any suggestions? It does start right up again, seems to shut off at least once everytime we ride.
Hey Guys/Gals
i just recently purchased a 2007 660 grizzly as a project. i thought i was coming out easy but when i started riding it the other day the differential light came on. i stopped and checked to make sure i didnt activate it and was right so i started riding agin and noticed it only came on when i reached the 40mph mark it then starts to spit and sputter. im clueless to what this could be i was thinking electrical or possibly some bearings somewhere any help is appreciated with this problem.
Thanks in advance
My 2015 is having trouble starting up. It all began last weekend when I was doing some trail riding. While heading to the trail there is a long straight away so I was just getting on it full throttle. When I was coming to the end about to get on the trail my 4 wheeler cut off. I was immediately able to start it back up and keep going. It shut off about 3 times within the hour of riding I was doing. I get it home and this past weekend I tried starting it up and it was trying to turn over and it took maybe 3 attempts for it to finally start up and on the 3rd attempt when it started it died maybe 5 seconds later. I started it up again and revved it up for a second and it seemed to be running fine. It seems like sometimes when shifting it from park to neutral, reverse or low it will die as well. Not sure if anyone else had these kind of problems and what I should do to fix it?
