After reading the horror stories of the front diff exploding on brand new Sportsman XP 1000s I immediately ordered a aftermarket billet pinion cover from HD ATV GEAR. I Just completed the install of it and now I can sleep easier!!
It took me about 3 hours to do. My cover went right on without having to shim the Diff.
I used the following to do the install:
*$19 Pneumatic Palm Nailer from Harbor Freight****Two seconds to knock roll pen out with 1/4 Punch in the Palm Nailer. Worked much better than using a hammer.**** *1/4 Round punch to knock out roll pen using the Palm Nailer *T30 Hex for screws on removal of old cover *5/32 Hex for screws on install of new cover *Pure Polaris "DEMAND DRIVE PLUS" Diff fluid and Squeeze Pump. *COLD BEERS!
Here are some pictures of the install.
Hi so I’m new to this forum and I recently purchased a set of older tatou winter only tracks in great shape and I want to put them on my 2014 700. But I don’t know what model of tatou tracks these are every time I look them up its always 4s the tracks already bolt up to my hubs and the front brackets are easily fabricated to fit my front lower control arm back is a slightly different story. So to put it short I’m looking to find out what model these are so I can buy a conversion kit
Hi. So the other night on a ride I went to switch my headlights on when it started to get dark. They did not come on and the check engine light quickly came on. As soon as a switched back to just "on" the check engine light goes away. After experimenting with this, it also happens with the motor off. Other then this i have noticed no performance issues what so ever. Lots of low end torque and plenty of power even up to 110km/h.
I’m riding a 2015 Outlander 650 XT. Our trails have been so dry its not i could have gotten water into anything if i wanted to. So it can’t be that.
Hi I found some nice racing stripes to put on my rig; used white instead of silver.
Also found an original mark for the top of the front fender; I still have to center it, but whattaya think should I sticker on there?
Hi all.new to can am.moved here from grizzly 700.awaiting my Rene 1000 triple black any day now.was wondering if like other quads that if I want to put dual pipes on my Rene does it need a programmer like my Grizz did before?
05 Rancher 400 AT. Riding uphill at slowish pace. Heard a sudden, short, awful grinding noise, and it stopped pulling. Immediately shut it down. In neutral, it starts and runs fine. Putting in gear, forward or reverse does nothing. ES does not function either.
It did seem to slip on acceleration before it did this, but it’s new to me so I have nothing to compare to. I haven’t opened anything up yet.
Toast?
Thanks!

We did a day trip out to Robbers Cave. This is a state park with newly cut ATV trails over about 250 acres. We had an awesome time but there was no Griz for me. I’m still on the sick (or recovering) list with my carpel tunnel surgery. So this ended up being a RZR kind of day for me. We also hauled my son’s sportsman out there thinking that he could at least ride around my inlaws lake place if not at Robbers Cave.
We headed out Friday evening to my inlaws lake place. We had a great time with family and friends around the a campfire and turned in about midnight. We were up a little after 8:00am, had breakfast and headed to the trails about 20 minutes away. Once unloaded, my son jumped in my in-laws Intimidator and my wife and I had my daughter with us in our rzr. There is one big trail that circles the 250ish acres and many trails you can duck off onto as you go. According to my father-in-law, we didn’t hit half the trails out there and we were there about 6 hours. The riding is rocky for the most part. The new skids on the rzr were put to the test and we were thankful we made those a priority for the rzr. We probably rode around for an hour or so before I asked my son if he wanted to give it a shot on his machine. My thinking was to take him on the big trail around the property as it is fairly smooth. He was all for it so we went back to the truck and got him geared up. We put him between my wife’s folks and us so we could watch him and get some video (forgot the damn camera, so it’s all from the iPhone). Well, he blew our minds with how well he did out there. He ended up going on several of the interior trails and got through there better than we did in the RZR at times.
All in all, it was a great day. I’m dying to take my Griz out there! For anyone close or who happens to be passing through with their Griz, I think you could spend a couple days out there and not get bored. I wish we could have stayed longer.
I put several vids of my son riding up on my channel. I won’t link them all as they are somewhat shaky and probably difficult to watch. The camera man had a bad hand, so that may have been part of the problem. lol
Just looking for opinions on whether I should just buff with a few different steps of Meguires, or wet sand then polish?
My Blue 300 fenders are decent, but lots of scuffs and dull in certain areas. I have two cans of SC-1 for when I’m done either way.
I’ve been on the internet for hours watching videos, and researching. I have seen the plastic restore kits ect. I’m not looking for perfection, but would like to give the 21year old fenders a good refresher.
Once I get them done, new factory Decals going on…
Anyway, just looking for what others have done with success.
