450s oil pump base plate

I am putting the engine back together on a 04 450s after replacing the crankshaft because of small end connecting rod hole being out of spec.

I took the oil pump apart to inspect and the attached picture shows the condition of the base plate. All the tolerances for the oil pump are within spec based on the measurements from the service manual.

Should I be concerned about the scoring?

Help with start up display

2005 Sportsman 800

I’ve owned this atv for about two weeks. I’ve rode it for less than 3 miles. The wrench and the check engine always come and blink at start up, but disappears once the engine is running. I figured out how to check codes. I’m receiving a 42 code. The question I have is once I fix and clear the code will the wrench and check engine always display at start up or will I only see that when there’s an issue?

Gun parts for sale

I’m having a hard time selling these parts anywhere, ebay won’t let me saying the magazine holds to many and facebook won’t allow it because of some kind of rule so anyways I will pass the savings on to you boys. $40 with free shipping to the lower 48.

First off I have a 12 round magazine for a Walther PPQ .45. It is just like new, I just sold the pistol and no longer need this.

I also have a Double Diamond threaded barrel with thread protector and a Double Diamond compensator for this barrel, both in very good shape. Used them on my race pistol last year during completion and I’m going to try something else this next season. These items came off of a Glock 34 but have been told they should fit the model 17 also. Would like to get $150 for these with free shipping to the lower 48.

newbie needs a bit of help

I have a 2009 250 TRX ES. The neutral light went out and will not shift gears. I can pull start, but go nowhere.

I am in a remote Arctic community and the store ordered me a "neutral light sensor" that turned out to be a clutch switch. Derp!

I am nowhere near a Honda dealer. I have searched everywhere online and cannot find a part number for the sensor. While I waited three months for them to ship the wrong part, someone stole the cover for the toolbox that also covers the battery wires and connects to the tail light. I cannot find a part number for it, either.

Is there anyone who can help with this? And yes, I have even searched for a list of Honda dealers and get nothing but lost in a multitude of forums and Google ads.

Many thanks!

Yes, believe it or not, I got stuck Friday, Eye candy winch came in handy

We are in the Black River area of Wisconsin riding for 2 days, Friday we were on the trail from Black River to Hatfield, we were forewarned that we would encounter 4 wheel drive useage by other riders that were staying at the orange moose.

About 4 miles in I got stuck, I got off, got on the wifes 850 with the winch, now get this peeps, I had her pull out the winch rope and hook the hook on my quad, I was high centered with all 4 wheels spinning in either direction, so with about 12 feet of rope I began winching, she is back on my quad and all that is happening is with me on her quad, I am being pulled closer, i’m like WTF.

Winch did good, its just that the outcome was not as planned. So I let off the in bottom on the winch, put her quad in reverse and yanked my quad backwards as if it wasn’t even there. So we switched quads again, we both back out of there, while I’m backing, I have to use the reverse override button because the quad kept sputtering terrible.

So the moral of the story here, the eye candy winch kinda worked in this situation but later on next week my quad will get a winch. Oh by the way, we still have Saturday to ride and we are having a blast.
