Strut Spring spacer ? CFM Performance

I hope I can articulate the question and my issue properly. So bare with me please! My machine is a 2015 Outlander 650 MAX XT. I want to put strut/spring spacers on the rear struts. Purchased the CFM Performance 1" aluminum spacers. Now there is only a small cam fer (taper) on the inside of these spacers. NO RECESS FOR A SPRING TO SEAT. The top of the struts (stock set up) has the 2 washer locking system that in effect keeps the spring "centered" while the bottom has the std. cam adjustment(which is flat). Now the spring is of a smaller diameter at the bottom so that this smaller diameter keeps the spring centered as well (on shock). My question is this. Normally a spacer would go on the top, but if I did this the spring would have nothing to stop it from moving around (spacer would be on the inside of the top washers) but the spring would be free to move around the spacer. MFG website indicates they are to be installed at the top (washer).
So my thought was to install the spacer against the bottom cam lock tension adjustment. That way the top would be to inside of the washer/lock. What do you think ? Sorry for the lengthy explanation. I’d ask the MFG but they have no email or phone number listed. Convenient

300ex starting issues

Hey folks, first time posting here. Maybe you can help. I have a 97 300ex and I’m at a stand still right now. Have had zero issues with the bike until yesterday. Was riding it and and it stalled out and now the starter and idler spin up but the motor is not cranking, and everything online don’t seem to give me a clear idea of what to look for.

Rear End Squeak

I need some help..

Last time I was up north the Grizzly was muddy and I sprayed it down with the hose and a towel to clean it off. Problem was that I ended up having to leave quickly and it wasn’t fully dry. Fast forward to this last weekend and now I have a nice squeak in the rear end that is rotational in nature. So if I just push the Grizzly forward or backward I have a squeak that gets louder and then drops off, builds up, peaks and then drops off. As mentioned is has to do with the rotation of the tires.

If I apply the brake it will squeak as well now, but the squeak I’m trying to find will happen even when just driving around. I’m guessing it has to do with the water that was left, any suggestions as to what it might be and how I should resolve it?

Thank you
Ryan

My trailer project.

Sorry, should have done more progress pics but here it is at this stage.

I have one small trailer I keep at my parents for hauling stuff around there but I wanted one for home so I can retrieve elk, moose, or haul whatever around here. I wanted a small, relatively light trailer not much wider than a quad for squeezing in between trees and narrow trails. I sort of based the size and design off my other trailer which is a modified garden tractor type trailer but I built the frame significantly stronger and the box a little bigger.

Next step is to add an aluminum sheet for the floor and redrill the tent trailer hubs (got for free) to accept Yamaha Grizzly rims (have lots laying around). This spring I’ll be adding sides but for now it’s going to be a flat deck. Deck/box is 2’x4′. Tires are STI 26×11 Mud Trax.

I’ll post pics once I get it rolling with the deck on.

84? Trx 200

just picked up a 84? TRX 200. came with spare motor/trans. front plastic head light and few other small things.

also buddy got from same guy 84ish 200s atc frame with exhaust, front forks, wheels, tires, 200 motor plastics, spare carb, and a bunch of other spare parts as well.

paid $500 for all of it

started digging into the TRX last night got plastics off carb cleaned, oil checked. got it to fire off of starting fluid.

so at this point thought I was golden, until started to work on the electrical. some one has been into this bike and crossed a few wires nothing really bad like neutral switch was grounded out. some of the wires on the motor look like they have seen better days, but still work. next went to work on the elec start. (that is how I found out about the neutral switch grounded out) hot wires the starter and it just spun. at first thought there was a problem with the starter. put one of the spare starters I got with it and did the same thing. Pulled the cover off the case and was missing the intermedint shaft front the second gear to the crank. this motor is also missing the cover for the spark pickup.

now after finding this I was a little pushed back. looking at my options.

pull motor and put the other one in? (was told it was a runner and complete. from I can see it is all there. Also was stored indoors)

rob parts off of the other motor to try to get this one to run. did get it to fire off starting fluid.

the spare motor elec looks in decent shape. all covers are present. same shaft drive H L R shifter. same exact motor. at this point thinking about motor swap and keep other for parts. was told it runs by guy I got it from.

plan with this TRX is for a kids bike. got two 10yrs that want to start riding. And this would be a good project for them and myself.

motor swap?
rob parts make work?

only picture I have right now.
