Questions on Tender Spring Swap
What is the rear spring rate on the 2 seater rear springs? When swapping the front spring to the rear, is this essentially going to soften the rear suspension, Or does it stiffen it up.
Seems as if now it is too stiff in the rear and tends to want to kick up on me.
Was looking for a simple and easy way to stiffen up the front, then soften the rear suspension. Seems like the tender swap would fit the bill. never understood why the small spring in the rear is completely collapsed as that seems very ineffective.
Any tips or tricks are welcome! Would like to improve the suspension with out breaking the bank.
Removing differential
Standard XP1000…Any advice on how to get the front differential out and separated from the drive shaft? Where does the drive shaft separate for just the front diff. to be removed?
With the hardware removed, the diff. can move around in the frame a little and when I pull it forward, the part of the drive shaft that starts to separate is on the back where it attaches to the engine. So I’m wondering how to remove the front differential without pulling the whole drive shaft out with it.

Document Storage
How and where do you guys keep your registration and insurance papers?
I picked up a Quad Boss Tank Bag and while the compartments are nice it’s always getting in the way (bumping throttle at full right lock…). We have a couple different tubs/racks so there just isn’t "one place" we have to keep the important docs that need to go with the bike. I’ve thought about the rear storage under the rear rack but that’s full of straps, hitch, wrenches so that won’t work. I’ve even considered under the seat but looking for input.

starter solenoid
Had a bad one, bike wouldnt start unless you tapped on the solenoid. I got a new one and while hooking it up the bike would try and start itself even with no key in. why? i currently have it hooked up and it has only done it once since, i gave the solenoid a slap and it stopped.

2011 700 Grizzly vent lines
How many vent lines are there on the 2011 700s as I know in either 09 or 10 they changed something about the vent lines
I found 6, not sure which ones they all are but I believe there was 5 black and 1 clear which I believe went to the fan.

Silverbacks, 30s 28s on stock rim?
Will 30s or 28s fit on stock 12 inch rim without wheel spacers and rubbing I know you can run 30s just not sure about stock rims and now thinking about it I believe 30s require an 14 inch rim anyways
So will 28s work or even 30s if you can get them in 12 inch rims
