RZR wheels and Black Mamba’s on a Sportsman 570?

Hi there,

I’m new to this forum.
I have a 2016 570 with about 300 miles on it and have started doing upgrades on it.

I ran across this set of used wheels and tires and was looking for opinions on them for my quad. I think i’d like it to stay away from doing a lift… I like the factory stance.

2 – 27x9x12
2 – 27x11x12
Rims and tires
Rims are stock 2011 rzr s

Rzr wheels a good improvement over stock steels? Black Mamba’s any good or should I keep looking?

Thanks

Buying a 1989 TRX300 4×4 for my mom

Hey guys,

I’m going to check out a bike tomorrow so my Mom can join me and my Dad down to the wood lot with a wheeler.

I’ll be looking out for a busted bearing inside the brake panel as well as any unusual noises inside the rear diff. If any of you can give me more tips on things to look out for i’d appreciate!

It’s going for 1900$ (canadian). The dude said it was his daughter’s bike. Basic 2000lbs winch which is probably a cheapy.

If the images don’t work, chances are he sold it already and took the ad out of Kijiji.

2008 Honda Rancher 420 rattle

Hey everyone, I’ve got what sounds like a rattle in the top end. At first I thought it was a loose top motor mount. Here’s some background on it. I just bought it a month or two ago with a broken timing adjuster. So I replaced that and the timing chain. Put it back together to find out the cylinder was out of spec. So new bore and hone and a wiesco piston. Now I’m in the middle of break in and there is a rattle or tapping in what sounds like the valve area. I triple checked the valve lash and it’s good. Also the noise is mostly when I’m riding it at around 2000 rpms, and I can’t quite duplicate it with it standing still in neutral. Also I’m pretty sure my clutch sprag(one way bearing) is bad, could that cause the noise? Thanks in advance for any help!! Going on a big trip next weekend so I’m kinda desperate!!

Oil Help

I do not want this to turn into "what kind/brand of oil to use" thread, but I do have questions on the weight of oil.
I currently use Shell Rotella T6 Synthetic in the 5W-40 weight.

I own 2 570’s and they have an engine "knock" at idle (always have). Not bad, but they both have always bothered me.

If I used a heavier weight of oil would that quiet them down? What is considered "heavier" as I do not understand the numbers in oil.

OR….. do I just live with the knock?

Any 4ooex doctors want to check this running issue

Hi there. I’ve been restoring this 400ex and my last item is to get it running smoother. It runs and drives fine but as you can see its pretty rough idling/stopped.

I was told it has a 440 kit in it but I don’t know that for sure to be true. I do know it has a big gun rev limiter and I put a new DC RCM I muffler on what I believe is the stock header. Carb appears to be stock.

I installed a new plug, changed oil and filter, new air filter, adjusted valves(maybe I screwed that up?). I adjusted the pilot screw 2.5 turns out and this is how it’s running. There may be a little to much oil as the level seem to have gone up after the change which is weird. This could be the source of the smoke, or to rich or bad rings/seats? It isn’t a ton of smoke, not even enough to register on the video i don’t think.

2010 Polaris 800EFI

Having a couple of issues with my Polaris. it will crank no problem. After you run it for awhile it will start to run sluggish and back fire and then not have full power. You can let it cooled down and then it will run good until it gets hot again. Second problem is grinding noise from front end. We just changed the L/R cv joints and it is still making noise.
