Be careful , I heard today someone got bite by a poisonous snake while on their 4 wheeler this week close to home , we rode yesterday and the water is drying up , the snakes were out in full force , seen the big 3 in one ride , that’s a first , a 5-6ft cotton mouth which looked like an anaconda swimming thru the ruts , 3 ft rattler and a 2 1/2 ft copper head , and enough of water snakes and cotton mouths to fill the bed of a pick up truck , it’s about time to do a snake hunt

2008 Renegade X with VFJ primary, 27" Bighorns, ride almost 100% trails in Colorado Mtns.
Looking to order an STM secondary and am having trouble choosing the proper helix. Anyone have a similar setup with a good working helix choice and amount of shims.

And if anyone is wondering, the VFJ completely transformed my 800, pulls my brothers 1000 and buddies 1000 Scrambler by a length or two off the start then they SLOWLY begin catching up.

Burnt transmission?
Just my luck, headed to HMT at the end of the month and decided to change the fluids. Oil and different were fine, Trans different story. I removed the fill plug then the drain plug and barely anything came out. The crap that was on the drain plug was a real thick sludge felt like grease. Of course on the drain plug was some metal attached to it. Mind you that the bike was ridding great before this no issues what so ever. Tried to add some fluid just to help with the lubrication till I can get it fixed but the damn fill hole won’t except anymore fluid. Anybody have this happen before? How long do you think it will last. I HAVE to go on this trip as quite a few friends are counting in me. I know no one can predict the future but do you think it will last till I get back? Was also thinking about trying to slam some ATF in there since it has all the detergents in it maybe that will help clear it up but then again could screw more up as well. Suggestions please!!!!
