New from WV

Hello everyone. Name’s Randy Lackey. I’m almost 40 and a longtime Honda owner except for the two years I owned a RZR. Live in the heart of the Hatfield/McCoys.

My first ATV was a 2000 Foreman and I kept it until I bought the RZR. Sold the RZR and worked on restoring my Dad’s ’01 Rancher but decided to take the plunge again and bought a new ’16 Foreman with Power Steering. Have to say, ATVs have come a long way.

Plow – Center/Under mount

Hi guys,

I have a Denali 60" Plow from moto alliance. 2 years old this year. Problem I keep having is the bracket underneath bike, continues to come loose. The U bolts snap off, and the bolts then work loose. I reattached it multiple times. Nothing worse than trying to get under a bike in the middle of a snow storm to fix this.

Has anyone had issues with these under mount brackets. Any Idea’s to fix. I thought of welding it on to frame, but not sure that this is best idea as there should probabally be some amount of give so I don’t damage frame

what do you guys think?

2005 Honda Rancher acceleration problems

Hello, My 4WD Rancher has intermittent problems with acceleration in auto. Although the engine sounds like it is revving there is no increase in speed. But then I release the throttle and rev again and it seems fine. Other threads I have found here that are similar talk about carburetor/filter and rough idle issues but since mine is not running rough and the engine revving seems to me to imply that it is getting gas, is there potentially something wrong with trans? I havent tried manual shifting quite frankly cuz the ATV and this problem are fairly new for me and I just havent tried it yet. So bottom line is that when I hit throttle it sounds like it should be accelerating but its not. I am hoping its the carb but dont want to go down the path of working on it only to find out it isnt the problem.

Thanks

400ex jetting issues

Hello,

This is my first post here on the forum. I normally wouldn’t do this but I am in need of help. I recently purchased a dynojet kit for my 2005 400ex. I am running a big gun eco series clip on as well as a k&n intake. My quad used to run alright until I installed the stage one jet kit. Now, it will barely idle. I can get it running and it’s Got plenty of power it’s just idleing and getting it started. I called dynojet and they said that the main jet and needle have nothing to do with my idleing problem. Bottom line is my quad is running horrible since installing the kit. Any ideas? Any feedback is appreciated

Thanks

08 420 FE shifts good but,

I have had a hiccup with the Es shifting, a couple months ago I had changed the angle sensor when I had shifting issues, it did not fix the problem, I took the shift motor apart and cleaned and serviced it, it’s been shifting fine. Now I have a display problem …see video….

I have switched the shift gears and greased, cleaned the motor, and previously changed the angle sensor. I can ride this bike all day long going thru second up and down many times, if I ride in 2nd for a 5 minutes it will hang 50% of the time. No problem stop and turn off bike I quick manual shift and I’m good to go. I mentally try to make sure I am in 3rd for my easy trail riding.
My question is the dash a stored code in memory that I need to erase or should I be looking at the position sensor. Or any other experience that you may have found.
Btw when it does hang it throws the angle sensor code if I recall call, I ignore it as the flashing code is reset when I shut the bike off to manually shift. Now if I could only find the good sensor I took out and put in a safe place.lol
