So I’m ready to pull my teeth out! 2012 850 XP that I bought new. Never really had an issues with it other than batteries. About a month ago I had gone riding and I think we rode about 20 miles. Come home clean it up and afterward it wouldn’t start. It would slowly try to turn over but wouldn’t make a full turn. Initially it made sense that it sounded like the battery. I checked it and it read 13.5 (plus this was a new battery over the summer). Tried again to start it and it did the same thing. I checked the relays and all the fuses – they were fine.
Now I’m thinking the solenoid on the starter is jacked. I pull the starter out, took it apart and checked the brushes. That thing was a pain to get all the rubber off!! Everything was clean and in good working order. I put it back together and checked it and it worked fine. Put it back in the polaris and it started right up. Great problem solved. I shut off and tried to start it again and nothing! I was over it.
So a week later after I had time to think about it, I just ordered a new starter. I was thinking that it was more than likely the solenoid and there was no way for me to check it other than the continuity. The new starter came in today, I put it in and it started right up! Now I’m feeling like an accomplished ATV mechanic, crack open a bottle of beer, enjoy a drink, shut it down, went to start it again and the same damn issue!!! AND … I sat my beer down and knocked it over making a mess! SMH!
So you guys that are smarter than me are my last hope before I take it to the shop. Any suggestions would be great! Thanks!!
So I went to hop on my 2014 Grizzly this afternoon and push the start button and nothing happened but display lights up when I turn me key to on headlights work tail lights work but no turn over from the engine any ideas?

We are getting the engine apart. The piston skirt broke and damaged both cases.
Anyway as the title asks, any suggestions for getting this gear off.

Howdy all, I have a 99 335. Runs pretty good, but has dim headlights and flicker slightly. Thought not having a battery might be a problem. Put the dead batt back in and put my meter on the posts and only 9 volts while idling. Only jumps 1/2 volt when revved. Not sure if that would be the stator or not. I am borrowing the exact same model from a friend and the stator wires test the same as the stator on the good one. Any ideas? Can’t afford to blow money on parts that aren’t bad and I don’t want to tear apart someone else’s ride to swap parts. Thanks!
After upgrading my Grizzly 700 with stage 1 Elka suspension, riding trough summer trails (rough terrain over here!) was a breeze, maybe too much because after maybe 200 km i noticed a loose in my front right wheel (tie rod suepected)

Hello everbody ,Just got a 1999 trx300 fourtrax 2wd . No spark blown fuses rotted wiring solenoid battery cables etc no spark no oil light on when key on. So i ordered a wiring harness ,solenoid wiring assembly and a cdi box . I checked stator and pulser unplugged to see if they had output they did ,4to6 volts while cranking checked doide in box under handle bars not open or shorted . Applied harness and solenoid assembly and cdi . Didnt have new battery so hooked cables to my lawn mower and kick started the 4 wheeler oil lifht didnt come on when i turned key on bust it started neutral light very bright carb ran out of fuel. I app.ied fuel tank filled carb used starter button engine rolled over and smoke rolled out of new cdi and poped one of the fuses. Previous owner said it ran and the starter was bad had to kick start to run and ran fine till oil light flickered and died. Need help does any body ever has had this happen . Ccdi boxes are expensive . Does anybody think this is the voltage rectifiero

I was riding my bike earlier and I heard a clunking sound then the bike stopped moving. So I pushed it and it sound like something within the gears that’s tore up….what you guys think?
