2005 800 sportsman clutch

Hello, The polaris dealer is telling that the Primary and secondary clutch both need to be replaced. Then they tell me that the primary has been discontinued for this year model and will have to try and find an aftermarket one, Does this sound right??. So i am thinking i am going to try and find the primary and secondary on Ebay because almost 500 bucks for the secondary through the dealer. and tips, thanks.
The bike has about 6000 miles on the original ones

Trail Tires

Has anyone swapped out thier OL2 tires for trail tires? I want to hit Hatfield MCoy but dont want to tear up my mud tires while on the rocks/trail. Any suggestions? I have looked at Dirt Commanders and have seen them perform which i was impressed but theyre so damn expensive.

300 rear end modifaction

Fourtrax300BigRed = as per our conversation I started a thread on the 300 rear end replacement modification , attach your pic to this thread ———–

there are thread about this on the site with pics of how to do it , the differentials of all the mentioned model and year rear ends are the same , the axle tubes are what is different , and what has to be done depends on which set up you get

here are a couple of pics of a 86 TRX250A rear end being modified to put in the 300 , the mounting bracket is welded to the tube , the lower shock steel bushing has to be cut flush with the rubber to fit inside the shock mount , on some models I have to replace the rear foot brake cable with one longer , not always , depending on rims you may need wheel spacers to clear the muffler , 1 1/2 -2 inches will do it , the 85 you mentioned should be the same as this one unless it is the ATC and not a TRX , post your pics
