Does anyone have the Can Am ‘mud strap’ (PN 715 003 053) installed on their handlebars? Either factory installed, or otherwise.

I bought one for my Outty and the clamps do not squeeze the handlebars, they are quite loose. The install instructions specify different clamps for steel bars and for aluminum bars. But even the smaller clamp (PN 506 152 536) does not grip tightly.

Are these intended to be loose on the bars? Doesn’t make sense to me if so.
