Does anyone know how the piston rings should go in? I have all 5 pieces but only the bottom one us understandable to put in, there 2 others that mark "r" & "rn" help please

Just picked up a 2016 Kodiak 700 EPS here a couple weeks ago and am now looking into buying some new things for it possibly. Anything involving lifts, exhaust, tuners, etc. I am having a hard time finding them yet. Has anyone found a good place or sight that has parts for these year models yet?

I’m looking at purchasing a yamaha kodiak 450 for my wife 2011 and up is there any issues with these machines carb wise? We do some high elevations but mostly trail riding and exploring.Would this be a good reliable atv? I know about the grizzly and yamaha products just want some input on people that have them.The good the bad and the ugly but hopefully all good thanks!! Oh also it will be the power steering model aswell.

I have a 2006 Kodiak 450 that I bought this weekend with an engine knocking sound. I first thought it was a valve problem but the sound does not originate from the valves. I am thinking that it is the crankshaft bearing. How to I determine for sure, before I tear down the motor?
It runs great, no smoke, and plenty of power, just sounds like a jackhammer from inside the motor.
Also does anyone have a service manual for this machine?

I am new to these forums and the atv in general. Bought it used few weeks ago and have been going through it and putting a plow/ winch setup together and i noticed after changing the oil that on a cold start it now wants to burn oil, decent little cloud but not enough that i have to add or top off or foul the plug( using the NGK DR8EIX). After its warmed up it goes away, maby 3 min of idling and it stops. I am using standard 10-30W and a high mileage additive ( STP which i have used in everything from the day i started driving). I added the additive to help with any old seals and help clean out any deposits. I have been reading alot around on the web and my best guess is valve seals? and that just running it with the additive in it may clear up the problem. The ATV runs strong and really well so i dont think its a ring/ compression problem. Any thoughts ? Thanks . :getrdone:

just purchased and trying to register. ther is no vin # on the frame where it is supposed to be. the frame has had a repair in that area. Is there another place where there might be a vin# is the engine # the same ? any help would be greatly appreciated.

Anyone know how to check if the piston rings are bad? Besides a compression test on a Kodiak 450 or valve seals
