We went riding yesterday, on the way back to the truck the transmission started making some really bad sounds. Every xp1k owner knows the sound of park not fully engaging when the rzr starts to roll. That distinctive tickticktickticktick sound of cogs slipping. Similar to changing gear while not stopped. I started doing that when you let off the throttle. Under acceleration there was no sound and power was put to the ground normally, as soon as you let off there was little engine brake and the grinding starts. I parked on flat asphalt, put the rzr in park, and could roll it forward and backward WHILE IN PARK! it would click and bang really bad. So the rzr is on the trailer waiting to go to the shop tomorrow morning.
Has anyone else had this issue? is something just loose or messed up or do I have a trans that is going out?

I installed a two brothers racing exhaust recently. Went for a 20 minute ride first. Then the next day went for an all day ride. It was fine for the first 5-6 hours. Last 1.5 hours it started backfiring like crazy. It was back firing on throttle in, slowing down, and on constant throttle. Almost home it shut it self down. I checked the oil and it was bubbly at first and a couple minutes later it was very running. Im assuming it was extremely hot and viscous. Limped it home after that.
Please help. Quad ride tomorrow id like to attend. Does it need a tuner or is it somthing else??

I put on another 80 miles of fun on Saturday. Now have just over 2,100 miles on my XP1000 since purchasing it in December 2014. The original belt is still ticking and every time I go out for a ride I am still smiling ear to ear.

Does anyone sell a complete bushing kit for the 1000? I’d like to replace all of my bushings and am wondering if someone makes an upgrade kit for all of the major wear bushings. Thanks! JC
Just want to share a great customer service story. I have a 2014 XP1K with less than 200 miles. At about 8 months after getting it we noticed the shocks leaking. I took it in for service and of course it’s out of warranty. They wanted about $500 to fix them. I ask Frank if he had any ideas and he put me in direct touch with Walker Evans. They stepped right up. I sent them the shocks. On one I couldn’t even take the springs off because the ring wouldn’t move. The shock body was out of round and they fixed everything with no grief. I just paid shipping. I couldn’t be happier with them so wanted to share a good experience.
