Need some clutch help/advise

I finally found out what blowing a belt feels like during a ride last weekend (Belt lasted 2000 miles so I’m not complaining about that). However it did make a mess in the clutch housing so I decided to take the clutches out to clean them and inspect them before take the machine out of town this weekend. I found 2 things with the driven clutch that worry me.

1.) The spacer between the two sheaves has about an 1/8" of play side to side. Is this normal or has my spider nut backed off? Picture attached.

2.) One of the button towers on the movable sheave has a small piece broken off at the top (possibly from when the belt broke?), will this affect the balance of the clutch enough to cause other problems or does this mean the clutch is junk? Pictures attached.

I want to take the rzr with me on a trip we are taking this weekend, is this clutch still usable? Also any thoughts on if Polaris will warranty it or if I’m S.O.L.?

AO cooler rack

Guys-

Just picked up a new Fox edition, and im trying to get it fitted out the way i want. Id like to have a spot at the front of the bed for an AO cooler (24 or 36) to be held securely in place, and id like dry(ish) storage available in the bed as well. Does anyone have a suggestion for a combo that would allow this?

Thanks for the help, and for all the great info!

Lone Star Lower Radius Rods Install

During our recent trip to Arbuckle Off Road I customized my stock rear lower radius rods. Looks great from here!

Oops! Doesn’t look so great from here.

After a little research I decided on going with the Lone Star high clearance rods. In matching red of course.

Before installing I took the LS joints apart and cleaned all the machining debris out of them, then filled them with marine grease. I zip tied the outer end so it wouldn’t fall apart while I got the inner bolt in.

Install is simple enough with the rear tires removed. A 15mm wrench and socket will do it. The lower bolt was on pretty tight. The inner nut is a little hard get a wrench on but not bad.

I took the bent rod to the anvil and hammered it out straight to get an eye to eye measurement of 20.25". Not perfectly straight but good enough. Next I took one of the hiems out and measured about 1.5" of threads. Once the Lone Star rod was adjusted to the 20.25" there was about .5" of threads left in each end. I noticed LS already had anti-seize on the rod threads.

I installed the inner bolt first, then used a ratchet strap to help line up the outer bolt holes. I used a pair of pliers to compress the outer rod seals a little to get the joint in the slot. No sweat.

The second one was a breeze! Its raining so I haven’t had a chance to give it a ride yet. I saw no clearance issues at full droop. I saw the Lone Stars on another machine at Arbuckle take rocks big enough to pick the tire up off the ground with no damage. I expect these to last a long time.

RMR Fiberglass Fenders for 1000XP. Used Trail Armors?

Well, as most of you have surely seen the past few days, the new RMR Fender flares have arrived and have been installed. The look great. I would love a set but refuse to pay the $135 shipping cost on top of the $355 charge for the fenders. I just can’t justify $500 for fenders.

If anyone decides to pull the trigger on these new fenders and have a set of gently used Trail Armor they want to get rid of for a good price, PM me a cost shipped to NC 27006.

S3 3 to 5 inch lift?

Thinking buying the S3 lift for my 14 1K are the axles in a very bad bind. I have cobra fronts but stock rears. Just don’t really want to be snapping axles I think the cobras will hold just curious of the bind.

Glass half windshield

I’m looking for a glass half windshield for the rzr 1000. Does anyone make it or have the ability to make one?

I have the plastic one now and after a season in the dunes it is scratched and difficult to see through. I’ve tried plastic scratch removers and coatings to prevent scratches but nothing works to get it back to new. Rather spend the money on a better glass half windshield then buy a new plastic one every season.
