Took the rzr out and noticed that I was boucing off the limiter at 55 mph. First time thats happened. (I even have GoPro video of the exact moment I noticed it in a drag race with some buddies. I’ll post below) Before I could hit 75+ no problem. Went on to the forums when I got home and found that most likely my spider had backed off. Went out to the garage, looked at the clutch and saw the jam nut wasnt even on the thread anymore. Just pulled the clutch off and its enroute to local shop to be tightened.
Anything else I should take a closer look at that may have loosened with the Jam Nut being off?

Just wondering if anyone has put Super Atv EZ steer in an XP 1000, I’m wondering why people would do away with stock power steering (don’t all XP1K’s come with Power steering) over the Super Atv units?? are they better, have you had prob. with Polaris unit? they claim to have bigger watt motor (380W, does anyone know what Polaris unit is???) and a sealed module. I have been having a prob. with mine kicking out intermediate since day one at slow speeds when up against an object like a log or rock, I thought may Voltage Reg. but that went at 200 miles I replace and it still does it once in awhile, I have to turn machine off and back on to restart. Anyway got my machine all tore down doing a cage and some other stuff, figured now would be the best time to address this prob. I’m hoping for any feed back on this product think I’m going to pull the trigger on it. Thanks for the Help
Hey guys. I have a 2016 1000XP with the Polaris front bumper. I went to install my Denali snow plow mount tonight and it looks like it will not install with my front bumper. The holes that are needed are blocked by the polaris bumper. Has anyone found a work around other than removing the front bumper?
So I finally blew a belt at a little over 2700 miles and some said they were shocked my clutch last that long.
My clutch is still operating fine and I have not noticed any loss of rpm or hesitation. I put about about another 75 miles are so on the new belt. So I have over 2800 miles on the clutches.
How long are they suppose to last before you have to rebuild or replace them?
I understand certain riding conditions will decrease service life. I ride mainly in the dunes and some open desert.

I have a 16 RZR High Lifter in the shop. At about 50 mph the Rev limiter is being tripped because they are telling me that the belt is slipping. They say that Polaris says that this is because of the High Lifter being built for mud and not racing. With the 32 tires and the torque, it is causing the belt to slip. Well, I was not racing I was just driving. It’s in for its first service and already the belt is glazed. They tell me that the only way to correct it and not have it slip at high speeds is to do a clutch kit. However, one won’t be available until late spring or early summer. Thoughts on this BS?
I upgraded to a 2015 1000xp earlier this year and I have been having trouble with the chain knocking noise that is caused by the timing chain tensioner. I ordered the Alba racing automatic timing chain tensioner and the instructions say to take the valve cover off and rotate the motor. Is that necessary or can I just take the old one out and put the new one in??? Thanks
