Guys been looking to upgrade from my 12 RGE RZ4800 to the new 900S. I love the 4-seat, but I recently bought a new Ranger Crew 900 that I can use when I want to haul people around. I was looking at the white lightning non-PS model and wanted some feedback. Been doing a little research on-line, but haven’t found any comparisons on the new platforms, just the older ones in regards to PS. My RZR4 has the PS and I love it, but was just curious if it is absolutely needed with these newer machines. I basically go to Little Sahara Sand Dunes in OK a few times a year and ride around the farm. If I was going to the mountains and riding trails all the time I’m sure the PS is a must. Just looking for any opinions on the newer machines.
Like many I’m on a budget and I know I won’t get a whole lot for the RZR4 so that is why I’m looking into the base 900S platform. Seen several on this forum that have the white lightning and would like to also get some feedback on how satisfied they are to that model specifically.
hey guys! I am just getting in to this, so excuse me if I sound like an idiot. I grew up riding atv’s, and the past few years have started buying a some sports cars. Kind of sick of that and I want to hit the trails but definitely want a RZR. Here is the dilemma. There are so many different models that I don’t know what I want. I don’t want to go buy a brand new one, and not have the time to ride it that I think I have haha. So I want to start off with a used one that is modded, and If i decide to sell it, I won’t loose my ass. Here is what I found.

so i decided to chop 4.5" out of my cage. one because it looks soo much better (imo) and two so it fit better in my enclosed trailer (used to catch the top of the door). this is a 2016 900 XC. i have aftermarket 5 point harnesses, so i cut the B pillar at the factory seat belt mount where it is the straightest. i also had installed the factory rear cage tie ins as well so that made it a bit more interesting.
i got a 24" length of 1.5" OD .120 wall CREW Tube. i cut it into 4 – 6" pieces. it is what i have read others have used and it does fit nicely inside the stock cage as a sleeve. i measured and marked the 4.5" on the cage at the 4 points i wanted to remove the tube. i drilled holes threw the factory cage 1" above the cuts for plug welds, to hold the sleeve in place while i worked the cage back together.
i used a few ratchet straps to coax it back down and into place, as well as loosened (but do not remove) the front cage bolts. the sleeve helped because once i got the top slid over it it acted as a guide to pull it down and line up the two halves. **also remember to disconnect your battery before performing any weld work on your machine.
i did not heat and or bend any of the tubes. you could if you really want it to go easier and line up perfectly but i just muscled it into place as best as i cared it to be and clamped it before i welded.
over all i think it came out great. took me just over 2 hours to complete. im happy with the end result, only thing i would have done differently would be to have done this sooner hahaha thanks for looking hope this helps with your decision. well worth it.
I am looking at upgading and have found a deal on a new 2015 white lightning for $13258 out the door and comes with a 2 year warranty. Seems like a decent price compared to others I have looked at.
Are you other 900 S owners happy with your machines? Is the 900 S known for reliability? Any known issues?
I think I am about ready to pull the trigger on this deal but wonder what you all have to say about yours. I have read that the 900 has a improved drivetrain compared to the 800. We love our 800, but I think the 900 s would be awesome!
Hey Guys, I just want to let everyone know about the experience I had with Partzilla today to hopefully save a few of you a future headache. I ordered two parts totaling around $300 on 12/26. The order was delayed multiple times secondary to one of the items not being in stock. I was finally able to convince them to ship the items separately so that I didn’t have to wait for both products since one was in stock on the original purchase date (12/24). My request was accepted but about an hour later I received an email stating that I need to pay an extra $130 to ship one on the items. Mind you, both items were purchased three weeks ago under the "free shipping" option. I was told because the box was "too big". I argued that I was shipped another larger item one month ago and was not charged shipping. Here’s what the customer service manager tells me:
"On occasion orders make it through the shipping process that require additional shipping that do not get identified as such. This order required additional shipping due to the size of the package"
Talk about quality control  lol. Needless to say, my order was cancelled. Where do you guys usually get your OEM parts from? I was hoping to save a couple of bucks but definitely not worth the headache with Partzilla. Hopefully I will save a few of you the same headache. Thanks.

I am thinking about buying these restraints and installing them in my rzr. Simpson is a brand that I trusted my life with back when I raced sprint cars and thought these would be perfect. If anyone with more information on weather these or an other brand would be better I am open to opinions. I am looking for a smooth installation process.Simpson Quarter Midget Latch & Link Restraint Systems 29025BK – Free Shipping on Orders Over $99 at Summit Racing http://m.summitracing.com/parts/sim-29025bk
Is the thunderhawk regulator guard sufficient enough or relocate it to the front under the hood somewhere? Do they make a bracket to do so and where’s the best place to put it. I ride some pretty rough trails and some mud holes, any info would greatly appreciated. Hate to spend 80 bucks or so on the guard for nothing.
Does anybody know of anyone who does SXS repairs on the side at their home in the Austin, Texas area? I just need somebody that would do some general maintenance and troubleshooting that may want the extra money in their pocket instead of the stealership.

Guys,
Has anyone figured out a way to bring the sagging clutch cover back up and support it. Mine is hitting my stock clutch now, and I have all ready mounted it as high as the mold would allow. It’s just sagging more and more over time seems like.
Thanks
