My 2012 has been hard to start the last couple months. It sits a lot between rides because no time to ride. Once it’s warm it restarts better. I found that if you barley push the throttle pedal it seems to start easier. I put new plugs with no change. My thought is fuel pump but runs perfect when running?? My nephews 900 has the same exact issue.. Pulled plugs and cranked over with great spark
Any help would be great .
Anyone have pictures of the intake ports on a rzr xp 900? I have my air box assembly off and I’m trying to determine what the intake ports/valves should look like on an engine with 3300 miles. As I stated in a previous post, I’ve been using oil recently so I’m trying to find the source. Any information would be appreciated.
Re: how do you time cams in xp900
I just rebuilt my 900 everything runs great but compression is lower on pto side by 35 lbs. it appears valve shim is to tall and keeping valves open let compression by pass. My question does anyone know the OD of shims. I can’t find stock Oem size printed anywhere I’m thinking 8.9 or 9.48 but can’t verify it anywhere I mic it out at 9.4 just looking for verification so I can order some new shims thanks.
I’m putting together a heater kit for the Rzr. My question is there enough heat when using 2 tee’s inline on the radiator hoses? Or is the thermostat bypass worth the $$$ to have pre-thermostat coolant for heat?
Hello all,
Im new to the side by side world and I just picked up a RZR, ive noticed that there are two bolts missing from the passenger side after about 1100km.
Maybe these are to mount something?
Please see attachment.
Thanks in advance
So yesterday things got a little wild and long story short I drove off into a big water hole. I have changed rear diff and tranny fluid and flushed motor a few times with 0w-40. My problem is that the spark plugs are still getting milky oil from somewhere. How could I clean out the wells?
Apparently a national back order on timing chains. No known date for inventory. Buddy has a motor apart from a skipped timing issue, blew chain and other parts. We got everything else, but EVERYONE has timing chains back ordered. BIG Halloween trip planned!!!
If you have a GOOD used chain for whatever reason we are interested.
Of course can’t even start reassembly until we get a chain.
i have a 2012 rzr 900 its leaking air through the intake when i pump 20 lbs into the cylinder and i can get it to stop when i pull the cam off do i need to put some knew shims in?
