Overheating issues

Hi I have a ’14 rzr 900. I can start it up let it idle it is fine…I can drive it under 40 mph it is fine….if you have to.get on it to go.up a hil or go faster than 41 mph it overheats immediately. Ive cleaned the radiator..replaced thermostate biught a higher pressure radiator.cap…still does this.same thing….amen it is acting normal the radiator is nice and warm and temps stay between 178 and 188 easily. If it does get to 199 the can will kick on and it cools down as it should…amen u go over 40 ite give it a decent amount I’d gas to raise the rpms…the radiator instantly becomes cold and the fluid shoots or of the overflow lid…..if anyone has any idea as to.what could be going on please help…also I’ve bled the cooling system each time it overheats

xp900 cam chain

Having all kinds of trouble, with cam chain slack between the two cams right before TDC, while rotating around it goes away. This thing jumped time luckily no head damage. installing new oem tensioner primed it installed however that slack is got me worried? Any suggestions?

2015 Rzr 900 voltage regulator/rectifier problem, FIX

Ok I have a 2015 Rzr 900s, my battery went dead one day on a ride I jumped it to get back to camp, it ran but my gauge displayed low dc volts, I looked everywhere and called the Polaris shop they told me voltage regulator went bad, and as we all know Polaris out it in a bad location, here’s how I fixed mine and what I used along with the cost.:redrzr:

engine brake

i did a search for EBS and "engine brake" did not find what i was looking for.

i have a 2016 900 XC EPS. had it for two days now. 2.5hrs on the thing.

today i was in the woods and i had the machine in Low gear with AWD on and was going down a pretty steep loose dirt hill. at the bottom were two trees one left, one right, to both sides of my path. at first i had my foot on the brake and i began to slide as all 4 wheels were locking up. i could not control my direction obviously. i quickly released the brake hoping to regain steering and miss the trees but the EBS kicked in and again was powerful enough that it locked the wheels up and i still had no steering. thankfully i manage to make my mark and miss the trees.

second issue i encountered with the EBS was when jumping. i found a nice little hill that i managed to get all four wheels off the ground on. i was in High gear with AWD on and again when i landed the EBS kicked in and made for a rather unpleasant sudden jerk.

after thought was if had the machine in 2wd for both instances it might not have been as harsh because with the AWD on the EBS effects all 4 wheels.

also for the hill decent part if i had thrown it in Neutral i would have been able to better control my self with the brakes but who wants to try and remember that all the time.

in closing my question is how does the EBS work ? is it in the belt drive system/clutches ? is it electronic ? if so can i interrupt its function with maybe an on/off switch mounted on the dash ?

noob looking for some technical help please excuse my ignorance any and all help or criticism is appreciated haha thanks.

Spark plug seized

Went to take spark plugs out one cane out easy and the other got tighter the more I took it loose sprayed wd-40 let it soak tried again little hard then felt like it freed up. It actually broke off the threads in the spark plug. Tried to get it out with easy out now that broke inside to. Just wondered if anyone else has had this happen to them.

Cam timing?

I just bought a 2013 XP 900 with no compression and discovered the cam tensioner lost prime so the valve timing was off after the chain skipped. I rotated the engine to TDC and when you line up the cam sprocket parallel with the head on the intake side the cam lobes touch the valve before it is totally lined up. my question is… Is there intake valve overlap and does the intake valve open before TDC? Sorry for my ignorance lol

UPDATE – Valve Clearance Question

Ok so i started measuring my valve clearance to see if I needed new shims.

Stator was pulled and engine is set TDC and Lobs Up on Cams

PTO and Mag Exhaust factory Spec. …. .011 – .013

Mine;

PTO Exhaust Outside Lob .007 Inside Lob .006
MAG Exhaust Outside Lob .007 Inside Lob .007

PTO Intake Factory Spec…. .005 – .007

Mine

PTO Outside Lob .003 Inside Lob .004

Here is where it gets interesting

Mag Intake Outside and inside Lob I can’t even slide a .0016 between the lob and bucket.

What am I missing or do I have a major valve issue?

Appreciate some help
