My brother is looking to trade his quad for a 800…. Any problem areas I should check out or see when checking the 800 out? Just making sure he doesn’t get hosed on this deal….
I need to get a spare tire and rim. I am a new owner and ride in desert a lot. Mt question is which is the best size choice? I have just standard factory rims?
Hello everyone new to the forums but have been looking around for awhile now. I have an 08 800 standard, have a set of skinny wide 31 inch outlaws that i want to put on it.
1. Would it be a good idea to convert it to the "S" model? Not exactly sure if this is needed or what it does all together and say for instance if i change to a 5-6 inch kit later would the "S" be a waste?
2. Would just a 3" lift fit the 31’s. Seen that on the S model with just a 3” lift people are able to fit 30’s. Or a 3" lift and forward a-arms. But would that be to much for the stock axles? Seen a couple people on with a similar setup but dont specific whether they have stock axles or not.
Thanks for help guys , have learned alot through this site already.
What is this thing mounted in front of my radiator? It is about 5" square and 3" thick soft in the front and louvered in the back. I can’t figure out what it is and I want to move it so it is not in front of the radiator blocking airflow. Looks like a factory install but who knows.

Just found that both bottom mounting bolts have broken off from the case and the top mount has broke off on the trans side. Have any of you guys welded these back on without removing the internals? I’m going to try it. Small short welds and will use wet towels on the metal around the weld to keep it somewhat cool. Is this a common problem? Is there something I should do to stop this from happening again? Machine has 2000 miles, never been rolled or tipped. I don’t want to get it all back together and have the mounts break again. Thanks.
