short story shorter
I’m trying to piece together a s coversion kit for the front of a rzr 570.
Should be easy enough as the 800 s front a arms should bolt up.
All I theortically need is
Arms (already purchased)
Shafts (missed a sale from SATV for $150 each)
Shocks (thinking YFZ450s for $200, local fox 800s set for $325)
Brake lines (passenger front can be reused) ($60) ($20 off coupon today, check your email)
Tie Rods ($100 from superatv, any other suggestions)
Any else do this? How’d it handle with the back end not lined up with front?
Yes it’ll suck if I get some awkward ruts etc.
Right now I’m torn just diving head first and committing to a 1/2 s or maybe pick up some shocks/springs for the 50" and find a way to reuse them as an 60" front.
Options as an 50"
Racertech lift, or high lifter(I currently have some clearance issues with 28" rubbing fenders, already own SuperATV 1.5" offset arms but these prevent rubbing on the firewall but not the fender)
Super ATV or racertech springs
YFZ450 shocks.
Are the RZR s conversions from superatv similar to just the a arms lift kits (The lift bolts to the arm not the frame)? Can I just buy the a arm lift kit and reuse it with non s shocks for the front (YFZ450) for the front and not sacrifice significant travel? If I fall in love with it, seems the s guys fall in love with the xp shocks which seems like a good step but I’d hate spending all that money and not liking it?
Im looking for some doors for the rzr and I came across the satv full metal doors but I can’t find much information or reviews on them. Does anyone have any experience with them? Also I don’t understand the benefits or drawbacks from a suicide door vs a regular opening door. These particular doors open like a regular car door but I don’t know if thats good or bad. Most that I looked at are suicide doors. Can anyone elaborate on that?
Like all of us, I am buying parts for this and that. I’m a new Rzr owner.
First time use with two vendors and they can’t get it right.
First up, SLP… Bought spacers from them. Very nice spacers I might add. The thing is they only gave me nuts for three of the spacers. Arghhh
They are specialty nuts which I cannot find locally (to have socket clearance).
…Well I have three of the four spacers on my Rzr. :rofl3:
Next up, Racer Tech. I live in Wenatchee Wa, and they sent my package to Elko Nevada, 700 miles away. I gave them my billing & ship address (the same) and they got it wrong.
I got their last scratch & dent hitch plate. We’ll see when I get that…
Elko Nevada? Really?
Voice mails are out.
Thats all folks… Just a bit miffed at people who are running their businesses.
I’m usually a good karma dude. 🙂
Noone makes anything for it anymore, been a pain in my ass to find stuff, and when I do its being discontinued or already out of stock and proably not being made anymore. end of rant:sad:
I am getting close to pulling the trigger on a UTV.
The biggest debate I have been going through is whether I want to take two vehicles family camping rather than one. As I would be driving my truck and towing a 4500 pound camping trailer; I would have to drive another vehicle towing the UTV if I went with anything wider than 50 inch.
If I got a 50 inch I could load it in the long bed diesel truck while also pulling the camping trailer.
Most of my riding will be local; by myself. But there will those times I will go camping with the family and lugging the camper trailer along.
So; 50 inch sounds like the most flexible solution.
In that case………. (simulated drum role)
If you had to do it all over again- knowing what you know now- and you had to limit yourself to a 50" UTV that had power steering; Would you get a 570, a 900; or a 900 fox edition
I will be financing the purchase so an extra few dollars per month shouldn’t matter that much; although I plan to pay it off in a year.
Driving will be wide open Utah trails most of the time with wooded mountain trails (some 50 inch) when going camping with the family.
What size is the bullet connector that’s loose off the 12v power point for ignition power? It’s fairly large but I’m not sure what gauge. I plan to use this as the point for my winch for now but to hook to a fuse block later.
well like it says are they good for fat folks? im 6’2" and 300 lbs wife is 5’9" 215. have ridden in an 08 800 and was comfortable. is the 570 that much smaller as far a seating area? im gonna have about 10 grand to spend and really dont wanna get someone elses worn out machine.
