570 conquers Moab….again

In 2013 I went to ROTR at Moab for the first time and was quite impressed with what the 570 could do but this year was a whole new ball game. Last year I did Cliffhanger and figured that’s about as good as it gets. I was happy with what this amazing little machine could do but I really tested it’s limits this year. I decided that I had to do the big obstacles on Hells Revenge come hell or rollover. I did Hells Gate, the Escalator, and the big hot tub with no problem. Seems that horsepower is a disadvantage at times because the 570 just crawled up the obstacles with little tire spin.:drive1:
Now with my nuts feeling a lot bigger I wasn’t finished abusing my rig so when we went to Area BFE for the Strike Ravine ride I just had to try the boulder strewn side trail called Britany Spears. After watching a few big rigs struggle up it I went last and bounced and banged my way up and bounced and banged my way down the other side. It was only on the last downhill vertical ledge did my ego deflate. As I inched over the edge the front hit the bottom and jerked the wheel out my hands and we heard something break. 🙁 Thought it was a tie rod but after we got it leveled out we found it was the front right axle. No worries. A super cool guy pulled out his tools and in 15 minutes we yanked the axle out ( which broke at the CV near the hub), put her backed together and off I went………in 3 wheel drive……..just like the Can Ams:rofl3:. Finshed the ride and went back to the arena where I got an axle from SuperAtv and Zbroz Racing installed it for me.:clap:

I guess I just had to prove that you don’t need a super duper tricked out 1000 to do tough stuff. The 570 is just amazing for such a small machine. Cant wait until next year to see what havoc I can wreak.:rolleyes:

Backfire!

Ok guys and gals I know we have talked about this numerous times. My 14 has always done it since new. Mostly when going down hill and engine breaking kicks in. I have Alba fuel controller didn’t help. Changed spark plug brands didn’t help. Thought well as the weather gets warmer it will stop. I just hate driving thru the woods with a group and people always asking what’s wrong why you backfire. Then younsay the same answer polaris says. It’s normal it’s how Polaris engineered it. I say bullcrap! What all sparkplugs you using. I am thinking of going back to crappy stock champion plug.

Tire size question

Hey question about max tire size.
Have a 2014 570 LE with 2" highlifter lift kit and 1.5" wheel spacers on stock wheels.

Looking for new tires and came across a good deal on 28" Zillas . I’m curious if my setup will fit these with no issues? Or should I stick to a 27" tire like I originally planned?

Greasing Question

I was in my local auto parts store and I saw a greasing attachment. Its a surgical needle that attaches onto the end of a grease gun. A rubber boot or rubber joint cover can be punctured and grease pumped inside.
I am always looking for ways to increase the life of my buggy. Since our 570’s have rubber boots and rubber joint covers, is it a good idea to pump grease inside?

Super ATV spring spacers

Looking to order some 1.8 in spring spacers along with my forward a arms for my 2012 570 to fit 30s. My question is when I put them in the cart it says it’s 1 pair. Do I need to order 2 pair so there’s front and rear? Or should I just buy a 2 inch lift with the a arms.

Sold the 570

Welp guys the RZR left a few hours ago. I think I got good money for it but at the same time I am meticulous about how I kept it so the new owner should be plenty happy.

I think i’m done with SXS’s, and anything that starts with a ‘P’ and ends with ‘olaris’. I was always dissapointed at all the dumb stuff that wasn’t taken care of in the design and build of the machine. For every time I rode I had to wrench on it and then spend 3 hrs cleaning it.

Also the wife didn’t really find it fun anymore.

So looking to replace it with an ATV and a dirtbike or something along those lines. We’ll see, I don’t plan on staying away from the trails longer than a month or two so I may see you out there!

The balance of the funds will go to the 30×50 shop I want to get going.

Which clutch spring

Ok Rzr riders this question is for the 570s with engine breaking and Dalton clutch kit. I have added full engine braking and ordered the dalton clutch kit for it. It comes with two primary springs so which ones are you using. Just out of curiosity. Thanks.
