Rear cv joint

Hey,
A couple weeks ago I picked up a 2013 rzr 570 that has a 2" epi lift. I absolutely love the machine.
Anyways, at the end of the day today when I went to load it onto the trailer, I heard a clicking from the rear. The right rear inner boot was completely torn. There doesn’t seem to be any play in the joint but it is clicking. Because it’s clicking, is it toast? Or is there a chance if I clean it out, regrease it and put a new boot on, it will be ok?

How Screwed am I?

With the help of this forum over the past two months, I knew which accessories to buy and what maintenance to perform, for my new (to me) 2014 570 w/160 miles, before hitting the trails this summer. The dusty airbox issue that I read about had me nervous, so I decided to go ahead and add the extra unifilter below the stock filter, for peace of mind. I added it last night, with the PVC coupler and hose clamps, and lightly oiled it. I wasn’t sure whether to run the red outerfilter as well, so I figured I would try it out and if I noticed any performance decrease, I would remove it.

Well, my wife, daughter, and I decided to take it on a 20 mile ride today out to a nearby lake. I only had about 1 mile of use on the machine prior to this trip, but it felt like it was lacking a little mid-range and top end. Most of the trip was 10-15mph, so it wasn’t a big concern and I knew the cause, so I figured I’d take care of it when I got home. Once I’m home, I popped the lid off, removed the stock paper filter, then the red Unifilter and quickly noticed that the smaller yellow Unifilter was sucked into the intake tube. My heart quickly sank. That would definitely explain the performance decrease. I carefully pulled it out and it seemed to be intact, until I got all of it out and noticed the end of it had completely blown out. I removed my airbox and throttle body, but the end of the filter is nowhere to be found. I have no idea where it ended up in the engine.

What do I do? I don’t want to tear the engine apart, but I also don’t want to blow it up on the trail. I used the recommended Uni NU-2485ST, so I’m not sure why this only happened to me and nobody else, because I know there are others running this same setup. I’m frustrated, but even more nervous about the damage I may have caused to my machine with under 200 miles on it.

Tire wear

I have the stock front tires on my 2013 570. The front tires are wearing the inside half of both tires twice as much as the outside half. I have the front sway bar removed and the stock springs have been replaced with highlifter springs. I have looked at other RZRs and haven’t seen other machines doing this. Any ideas?

Charging System Not Working

On my 2012 570 Im trying to determine which is not working the stator or the regulator. I have to jump it off. It will run for about 15 secs and the low voltage indicator pops up showing 10.0 falling quickly to 8.0 and the machine cuts off. Both parts are in the $200 range and it appears I could replace either. I have "heard" that over charging is normally the Regulator and under charging is the Stator. Anyone else been through this? Suggestions on how to rule one out for the other? Thanks in advance.
