I have a 2012 570 with the Polaris brand Flip-up windshield. Recently while I was trailering it, one of the gas struts vibrated loose and fell off – not really sure how that happened or where it went, but I had to find a replacement.
I took a chance and bought a pair of these off Amazon:
They are the same thread pattern (M8 1.25) and mounted right into the existing hardware. The studs were 1/8" longer than the original, but I put a lockwasher on them. They are maybe 1/4" longer than the originals, but compress just fine. They work at about about 2x the force of the originals also, so the window pops open very quickly and stays open very well – it doesn’t shake or vibrate like the originals. It is a bit harder to close from the fully open position, I have to help it get started from the edges.
In all, I think these work better than the original parts. I spent hours trying to find the right part, so I thought I would share in case someone was looking for a replacement set of these.
Hello, I’m new the the forum and to polaris. I bought my wife a rzr 570 back in December and she has really become addicted to riding like myself. Anyways back to the subject, we were riding last night in the rain and she had trouble seeing so she put the windshield up and 10 minutes later she caught a tree with it and shattered it. I was wondering if I can just buy the plastic windshield without the hard wear or am I screwed. Let’s just say she’s pissed! Any info would be much appreciated thank you.
i have this screen keep coming up. happens right after start up, and sometimes while riding. it doesn’t go into limp mode or overheat. no check engine code. i have tried cycling through the menu and no codes
I need to move 50 tons of rock in my front yard. has anyone used a snowplow blade to move the rocks around?
I will probably be moving the 3/4" granite type rock, back spreading.
any comments will be welcome.
I used the 570 2 weeks ago to spray my 1 acre with weed killer….4.2 miles later I was glad I didn’t use a hand sprayer!
