Windshield and custom made roofs

Hello to all,
fairly new to this sport but i already realized i want and need a windscreen as dust i get from following is brutal, at times unless i hang way in the back ..

i kinda narrowed it down to two .. the koplin full tilt and the emp full tilt..? unless there are other great windscreens out there. Has anyone used either product ? other thought was to buy some clamps and make my own ? thought process is time and energy to make and build a windscreen .

The roof i have no clue about i just was thinking of making one out of wood first so i could get the dimensions right then go get a local welding shop to fabricate a diamond plate aluminum roof.. been reading lots of the forums havent got to the older ones but i just wondering if anyone gone these routes..

as up in canada these accessories are priced through the roof..

Timing chain tensioner

after reading about all the issues ive been thinking about doing a manual tensioner on mine being it has 1700 miles on it and not sure if its ever been touched
just trying to see if i can find a write up or install video of how much is involved. I have a good set of tools and good mechanical background so trying to see if this is something i can tackle myself or if i should just take it to a shop type of deal

mine is a 2013 570

2015 RZR 570 Vector Template

Well, I just purchased my base 570 2 weeks ago, was looking at Arctic Cat until I sat in one (to cramped). Enjoying my purchase, lots of fun.

I’ve searched enough on the web so I have to ask is there any RZR 570 vector templates I can purchase somewhere I may have missed. My wife is a graphics designer and has the equipment to print some graphics for my razor.

The closest I have found is for a 800, but appears it would work for the front half of the 570 800 RZR Polaris 11-15 Template but it is missing the 2 slits on the right and left of the center hood template.

Just wondering if this is my best bet or if anyone knows of someone else.

Thanks

Heads Up 570s! Major wiring harness chafing

After a couple of days of chasing a mystery electrical problem on our 2013 570 (fuel pump wouldn’t run) I found the culprit – the big wiring harness behind the driver’s seat had been chafing on the front engine mount. You can see the paint worn off the mount square tubing corner in photo 1.

My symptoms were loss of the fuel pump (and code 1347 5 "fuel pump driver circuit open/grounded") but it depends on how the wires are oriented when the bundle is made. I had one broken wire (the fuel pump relay ground wire from fuse box B4 to ECU Pin 219) and two others that were bared and ready to go.

The branch on the top left of the second photo is all the wires going to the ECU so all kinds of evil things could happen on the trail. As it was we had to tow it 15 km along a creek bed and cutlines with our 800 and it shortened a long weekend of riding.

It’s easy to put a couple more zip ties to the frame to keep this bundle well away from the vibrating engine mount. I’m going to go through and tightly secure all other pieces while I have the skid off.

Check yours and avoid getting stranded somewhere!

gas gage disappears?

I have a 2016 570, it has 20 miles on it. Question about gas gage. Is it supposed to be on all the time, whether all bars Are full, 2,3,4..ect? I saw it flicker on as I unloaded it from trailer. As it sits idling where it’s supposed to be is blank
