Lift Kit options

Okay, I’ve been doing more and more reading and am thinking I may just stick with the stock shocks for a while and if I do, I would like to add a 2" lift kit. I’ve used the search option and read several threads, but I may be more confused now than when I started.

There are a few options out there, all seem to be in that $175 – $200 range.

The hilift version seems like a super easy install, just unbolt the shocks, bolt on the extenders and bolt everything back up. I’ll probably pull the front sway bars off when I do it.

The racetech version seems a bit harder, but also looks like it really does lift the vehicle a little better but maybe that is an incorrect perception.

Sounds like a lot of you are running the lift kits, even some with aftermarket shocks.

I don’t want to go nuts here, I’m gaining an inch going to the 26" tires and I think if I could add another inch or so I would probably be good for about 99% of my planned riding. I figure if I add the lift kit I could back my shock setting back down instead of leaving it at the top notch to gain clearance.

I’m going to be heading up to the mountains in a couple weeks so I probably need to get something ordered soon if I am going to get it on before I leave.

Any strong feelings one way or the other on which kit to get or whether I should just leave well enough alone and wait until I get some aftermarket shocks sometime down to the road to gain another inch of clearance?

Thanks, Nathan

Another Question on Tires and Ground Clearance

Information on clearance with 2" lift
Front ground clearance is 12"
Rear ground clearance is 10"

How does the above compare to other machines?

Now tire question
I want to stay with 25x8x12 tires on the front: Reason.. width is 50" with these tires; distance between wheel wells on truck is 50" and I have to use truck to haul the rig…pulling travel trailer so wider tires in front will not fit in truck bed.

What I would like to do is put on 26x10x12 tires on the rear and 25×8/12 on the front (Sedona Rip-Saws R/T).
Question, does anyone see a problem running 25" on the front and 26" on the rear?

Windshield recommendations.

Just recently purchased a RZR 570 and I’m looking to put a windshield on it. Not looking for just the 1/2 shield. I’m just not sure if I should go with full or folding, 2 piece, tilting, etc. Anyone have any recommendations? I’ve never had a UTV, only 3 & 4 wheelers so windshields were never in the picture. I’m new to this. I know many of you will say it’s a matter of personal preference but I have "Zero" experience in the UTV World. Thanks, I look forward to your responses.

More bad luck

If it wasn’t for bad luck I’d have no luck at all. While riding last week some kid was crossing a trail and hit into my back tire. Enough that his rim bent like a pretzel. I loaded on the trailer and went home. Inspected it and noticed small crack in rear bed fender. No biggie. Load up to go riding yesterday. Pull off trailer drive up towards trails. Engages 4×4 button and immediately something is grinding. Turn back towards trailer and camp. Noticed it only grinds in 4×4. Also rear yoke on prop shaft spins freely meaning splines on rear tranny shaft don’t spin propshaft. All this only in 4×4. Runs and drives fine 2wd. My guess is propshaft u joints are junk and something broke in either tranny or front differential. Taking to dealer and calling my insurance hopefully they consider this damage from accident and cover it. By the the way Pa doesn’t require dirtbike to have insurance so he don’t have it.

Anyone looking for a 570 in MI

Just seeing if anyone might be interested. I might be selling my 2014 570. I never had a problem with it. Just trying to get a project started. I have the title for it. I hate to put it up for sale but it might have to go! For the right price I might not even think twice and just get rid of it.

Ryfab folding windshield fitment

I have a 2015 RZR 570 Trail LE EPS. It is fitted with an aluminum Polaris roof, Seizmik mirrors mounted up front on each side and Dragonfire doors. Anyone had experience to know if the Ryfab folding windshield will fit my 570 without problems given these existing accessories?

Thanks for any replies.

570 riding in Colorado?

So my wife and I rented a 900 trail 2015 while we were in Colorado 2 weeks ago. That is the first 900 I have rode and the first time I have gotten to play with a rzr in the mountains. I have been thinking I wanted to buy a 570 trail rated and have done a lot of looking. I test rode a demo at a dealership a month ago too.

I asked the rental if they had a 570 and they told me they didn’t rent 570’s and as a dealer didn’t even stock them because they didn’t make enough power for riding in the Colorado mountains. The 900 performed well, but I am still curious if anybody has ever ridden their 570 at elevations of 11,000+ feet and how it performed. I don’t need to do 50 mph on 4×4 roads. Was he full of it or do you really need an 800 or 900 to ride in those mountains.

Thanks for any help.
