engine light / water

was out playing yesterday and was going thru a lot of puddles. not one higher that the tires and not fast.

about 3 hours into run was losing power and light came on but did not stall.

we were in the middle of no where so we continued on. Light went off in less than 5 min. we had to go thru more water just to get out so i went real slow and same thing lost power but were still moving light came back on and went off. did this for another 2 hours. On the last stretch was road so for about 20 min i was doing about 70 klms and zero problems.

today I check the air box / belt zero water and started right up.

any suggestions

Stock tire question

Took the new RZR out today for the 1st time and somehow wound up with a stick in my rear tire about the diameter of a quarter and around 6 inches long. So, needless to say, I’m gonna need a new tire. It’s a 2015 and has Maxxis on it. Only problem is that I’m having trouble finding the same tire. Don’t know what type Maxxis it is other than m952. Now, I found one on DennisKirk.com but it shows an m952y. Is that the same tire since I cannot find a "Y" anywhere on my tire? And, does anyone have any suggestions where to buy this other than Dennis Kirk? Tried a few popular sites but no luck. Thanks for the help.

Lift Kit options

Okay, I’ve been doing more and more reading and am thinking I may just stick with the stock shocks for a while and if I do, I would like to add a 2" lift kit. I’ve used the search option and read several threads, but I may be more confused now than when I started.

There are a few options out there, all seem to be in that $175 – $200 range.

The hilift version seems like a super easy install, just unbolt the shocks, bolt on the extenders and bolt everything back up. I’ll probably pull the front sway bars off when I do it.

The racetech version seems a bit harder, but also looks like it really does lift the vehicle a little better but maybe that is an incorrect perception.

Sounds like a lot of you are running the lift kits, even some with aftermarket shocks.

I don’t want to go nuts here, I’m gaining an inch going to the 26" tires and I think if I could add another inch or so I would probably be good for about 99% of my planned riding. I figure if I add the lift kit I could back my shock setting back down instead of leaving it at the top notch to gain clearance.

I’m going to be heading up to the mountains in a couple weeks so I probably need to get something ordered soon if I am going to get it on before I leave.

Any strong feelings one way or the other on which kit to get or whether I should just leave well enough alone and wait until I get some aftermarket shocks sometime down to the road to gain another inch of clearance?

Thanks, Nathan
