I recently blew a belt, did a trail side repair, finished the ride with no problems.
Today I started the Rzr to let it idle and there was an interference noise with belt and its cover.
Upon disassembly I found a bunch of belt material (thought I got it all) in I think the exhaust hose, but more importantly, found squared rollers on the secondary.
This started on the 3rd day of my Halloween dune trip. Too bad as the stones in the coffee can seems to have subsided. Seems to be coming from the engines area. Engine under load only. Let off on the gas and it goes away. Made me run out and buy the extended protection form Polaris.
Got about 60 hrs on it.
FF the video till it gets going.
The video seems to have made the noise louder. Probably because the Gopro is mounted to the cage.
Anybody else?
I just got 2 new primary clutches for our 1000’s does anyone know if the spider is torqued down or not? Hoping to put new weights and spring and run it.
I am about to swap out my stock cams, springs, and buckets. I can’t find any instructions and I have no service manual. Any tips and tricks before I get started? I appreciate it guys.
I bought mine xp 4 1000 with 265 miles on it. I opened the air cleaner box. To my surprise theres a Maxx Airr filter in there no prefilter.
I washed it with degreaser. Should I oil it? I did get a prefilter.
Hct sells the Airaid
I thought Airaid you did not oil. They look exactly the same.
Should I just get rid of this thing? Go buy a stock paper filter? or go get the Airaid?
Out of time leave next wend for Glamis.
I’ve got 1100 miles on my 2015 1000 and I already have some pretty good flat spots on my secondary rollers. Is that normal? Am I just going to have to plan on replacing them every 1000 miles?
Is there an aftermarket roller that will last better? Seems like a Delrin slider would be ideal.
