I have posted about this a while ago. The problem is when I put it in 4×4 the front end immediately starts to drag and starts to make a "whining" sound and is also very hard to steer. I know it’s harder to steer since all wheels are turning but it’s virtually impossible and if I need to make a hard turn I can’t unless someone else would be pushing also. When in 2×4 their is no noise or drag or hard steering whatsoever. I have tried synthetic gear oil. I used mobil1 75w-90 for hypoid gears. When I changed it I had no metal shavings either. Is their anything I need to check or replace? I just want to fix it and have a working 4×4!!! Thanks in advance for any help.

2003 Rincon front right axle problems
A good friend of mine has a 2003 rincon. It keeps breaking the right front axle. He does have large tires on it however it broke axles with smaller tires. Any thoughts on what might be causing the issue? And does anyone have suggestions for aftermarket fixed to the axles issues?

Decompressor cam operation
2006 rancher 350. Doing cam chain replacement, was attempting to check decompressor cam operation as show in manual. When pushing on the one side (over the little spring) the decompressor cam moves over but does not lock in place. The only moveable parts I can see are the spring (1) and the decompressor cam. The outside bearing (little one) was loose-could remove it with finger pressure-not sure what means or is meaningful. Any idea what the problem could be and possible solutions. Thanks

rusted, stuck, hard to remove bolts ?…then you need a propane torch !
Hey gang, I thought I would toss this out there for all you atv owners that run across a hard to remove bolt, nut ?. if it won’t move very good from the normal turning ?..then you can bet your bottom dollar..it will not move ?..or will snap off !..lol. so people..here is another fine tool you need to have handy around your work area !. A PROPANE TORCH !!. I use MAP gas yellow bottle, it burns hotter than the blue bottle propane torches !. and it works fast in my book. you can buy this for about 9 bucks or so at any hardware store. I buy mine at lowes. wal-mart carries the blue bottle kind ?..but I like the MAP gas better. I can not tell you how many times this tool has saved my butt from stuck, seized , broken off bolts, studs, nuts won’t budge ?..you name it !. this is a MUST HAVE TOOL IN YOUR WORK AREA !. buy it, try it, I bet you will love it !.
Pinion gear 2000 Honda recon 250 2×4
Help! How the heck do I remove the pinion gear. I have my whole rear end taken apart and inspected bearings etc because my first problem was no brakes, and loud clunking noise from rear and a lot of gear oil on the brake side of differential. Put it all back together and still have hard clunking noise. Someone told me to check the pinion gear #6 from illustration (if u know what I’m talking about) so do I open up differential again or do I need to start towards the pivot arm which of course has that wonderful lock nut and hex head but still not sure where to go from. I can tell you that big plate gear (don’t know name) that’s in differential that meets up to the pinion gear does have some worn teethers 🙂 any help or input great appreciated

’87 Fourtrax 350 loose front end
My honda has defiantly taken abuse over the years. I just bough it last fall and I’ve finally gotten to take it out. When I’m in a rocky area all I hear is clunk clunk clunk. It seems like the front end is loose I just don’t know where to look. I’ve heard about bad tie rods but what should I be looking at and for to see if there’s any wear in the steering.
