On a 2002 700 Sportsman…
How much Play (Movement up and down side to side) should there be on the front axles when they in the front differential??
Hey everyone! New to the forum, but use it for lots of helpful info. I have searched and searched and am still lost. Last week I was expoloring some new ground that my family bought in another county. I came to a creek crossing and went through no problem. On the way back across that afternoon the front tires hit a shelf underwater and rolled the quad into the creek. I got it shut down and pulled from the water onto a gravel bar. It was in the water maybe 2 mintutes. Here is the problem. When I went to start it after draing and drying the air filter it would only click. This all occured maybe 20 after intially getting wet. I checked my dipstick and it doesn’t appear there was any water in my oil. I tried jumping across the silinoid and still only got a click. Tried jumping battery to starter and still only clicked. I have all my lights and display panel working fine, but it just won’t turn over. i had to tarp it and leave it and hike out. I rounded up a friend to pull it back to the road this weekend, but would like to try and get it going to save him the long haul! Am i missing something here? Does this mean I am not getting enough from the battery to engage the starter? I have not had a problem with the battery prior to this occasion. Please Help Me!! Any and all suggestions are well. Hi guys I need some help. My 2010 sportsman 500HO fan wont come on. The fan works when I hook it direct to the battery. So far ive replaced the 10 amp breaker it looked pretty rough there was a hole in it and water dripped out. I also tried unplugging the heat sensor nothing. What should I try next?
I decided my 50 + body could not take the pounding from the Honda 400ex anymore. headed to Sun Honda and came home with my new 2015 Polaris Sportsman 850 SP. I cannot wait to get it out to Taylor park on the 4th of July…..
Hello. This is my first post but not my first time on. I have an 04 700 carb. I have no spark. I have the new upgraded ignition system. I also can’t seem to get any power to the coil or the CDI box. I’m lost. I have an E on my display screen. I bought a new battery yesterday cause other one wouldn’t hold a charge. Now the kicker. Ignition switch on I checked my lights, when I turned On the low beams, my starter came on like it was starting the atv with key. Weird I know but true. I took the switch apart cleaned it and put back together and it still does it. Yes my lights work as they should. I’m stumped. Please help. Thanks.

Recently I was using my 500 efi x2 towing a fairly heavy drag to work on my drive way. I was using the tow bar with a chain in high gear. All of a sudden the engine just quit. I assumed there was an auto shutoff. After waiting a few seconds I tried to restart with success. I dragged some more then it shutdown again. It started again. Then much to my surprise the light came on and said hey dummy you should be doing this in low gear. After that it did not quit. So the question is … Is the machine set with an auto shutoff? If not what would be a solution to the shutoff. Thank you

Where is a good place to get it?
Also, would polishing the intake & exhaust ports be worth the effort?

I need a new camshaft for a newly acquired 1999 Sportsman 335 quad which now I ‘m thinking it’s a model that Polaris wants to forget because they have discontinued the camshaft and it’s hard to find info on the damn thing even on here when I’ve done searches!?
