So I Did a total 180, and went and got a 2015 Sportsman 1000 LE instead of the planned scrambler.
It has the fox shocks and some other goodies for close to the same price, so it was a no brainer for me. Anyway with the fox shocks, has anyone set the sag? I understand its a utility bike but I would like to maximize performance for a guy my weight 220lbs.
It seems to squat a ton and be a little soft for the more aggressive riding. So, if you have any recommendations as to sag settings I would greatly appreciate it!
Has anyone else been having issues with the front axles on the sportsman 1000xp? I somehow broke the left front doing casual woods riding, took it back to the dealer and they replaced it under warranty. Went on a riding trip this past weekend with normal riding, nothing extreme. Got it back home and noticed that the front right axle had completely broke out of the wheel and the left front had broke also. I have 26 inch big horn 2.0s. Just curious if anyone else is having the same issues?

I just put the single exhaust on. It seems to spit and sputter and backfire a little bit when I’m driving at slow speeds. Anyone eles have this issue? Lastly do you guys think a fuel programer will fix that? Thanks!
I’m really surprised that there isn’t a dedicated section to Highlifter Sportsman’s????? Used to the Can-Am Forums where we have an XMR section and it is a very busy section.
How are these bikes holding up for owners? I did a search but wow, I didn’t find but a couple threads of people who actually bought one or showed pictures. Any videos uploaded yet on these? Wondered what people’s likes and dislikes where about them. How are the axles? Front Diff holding up to those 29.5" OL2 Tires?
I have a 2015 Sportsman XP 1000 and I have a clear tube/line hanging down. The line is marked with the numbers 8450003-60. I got stuck pretty good and had to use the winch to get out and think that it got pulled when that happened. I drove about .5 miles before I noticed the line and won’t ride again until I figure out what I did. It doesn’t look like anything is broken but I can’t tell where I need to reattach the line. What is this line? I was in water, should I be concerned about other issues from this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for taking the time to look at this.
Bult in my new TFX-suspension-set in my workhorse and spent the last hours with finding the right setups – both for street and woodwork.
Conclusion: the best decision I’ve made so far… :yup:
