2016 Polaris Lineup

Looks like the 1000 remains mostly unchanged – just some new colors! But the RZR with the Turbo and 144 HP looks like some fun… for $25k!!!! :chairfall:

Can’t really tell from the pictures on Polaris’ website whether or not they changed the exhaust design for the 1K’s either.

What do you guys think of the new lineup???

Had Bad Luck Need Tire Help

Just went to Taylor Park Colorado and spent 4 days riding. The Rocks and the Horsepower got the best of a rear tire.

Had to do what I could to keep riding with a smile. Only option was to put on two rear 26x11x14 Bajacross tires. They were awsome.

Now I am back home and need to replace the fronts. And I find out they don’t make an 8 or 9.

26x10R-14
26x11R-14

Are 10 to big for the front without any mod?

Or if someone knows where I can get 9s that would be great.

The 1000 preformed awsome and was like a mountain goat out there. So much power and so much fun. An awsome upgrade over my king quad 700

Oh a buddy rented a new 570. That thing gets way hotter than my 1000 and is really tippy.. Not fun to ride in the mountains

1000 Touring initial mods

I wanted to be able to buy a rear pack for hunting. But the seat configuration meant you
could not put much on or around the seat. And Polaris is not making anything
yet. I removed the seat which leaves an 8 " deep cavity, But there was a deck to mount to at 4 inches deep above the seat retaining pins. So I built a platform of 3/4" plywood with layers of yoga mat cut to shape (Like 5 layers). Then I covered it in vinyl and stapled. It rides only slightly above deck height and it super comfy. I can now buy any pack I want and use the whole rear deck. And I did.

I also fixed the passenger footrest dilemma. Not being able to brace the
ball of your foot going downhill or braking as the stock platform is too shallow if your shoe size is over 6. Only needed to drill 4 holes. I cut and bent some Dexion to make the platform extension and angled it up slightly. I rolled it over so a jagged edge would not be facing my calf muscle as driver. After I mounted it, it still had a little too much flex. So I cut 2×4 about 8 inches long and wedged it under the Dexion. And bolted the wood to the upright surface. Now it is solid enough to stand on and gives the ball of your foot a place to bear down. Painted everything black. Good to go. I am not a craftsman. But I welcome feedback.
