I picked up my 570 SP a few months ago and was able to put roughly 10 hours on it before the trails were snow covered and impassable. I have since purchased a Snow Plow and have been plowed the driveway a few times.
My Question is since I have not fully broken the machine in yet am I doing harm to it by plowing with it at low speeds?
I had a winch installed as well as a an led light bar when I purchased my machine. I just got grip and thumb warmers that I ordered and need to install. My question is are there enough hookups for both the grip and thumb warmers as well as the led light? They put a small rocker switch on the pod for the light and I assume that this tied into factory wiring.
I am 150 pounds and ride my atv mostly in the winter snow here in Canada. I added a second seat but very rare I have someone on it. I put the suspension at the stiffest setting as I was told I will have better ground clearance in the snow. My question is is it harder on the machine and suspension having it at the maximum setting and when I ride the trails in summer mostly hard pack dirt and rock will I be more likely to break stuff having it on the maximum setting. Thanks in advance
I loaded up to go ride today and everything was fine, got to where I was going and backed off the trailer went to shift to low and there was almost no resistance and all on the shifter, feels almost as if a detent broke. It shifts between all gears with very minimal effort of the shifter, and you can’t feel it "click" into any of the gears, all the gears work it’s just hard to find them. Park seems to be tho only gear with that "click" when you reach it, but even that doesn’t seem right. It’s a 2014 570 base. Any ideas? There is a cover where the shifter goes into the transmission I was going to pull off and see if anything looks out of place.
After I put on my 26" swamplites I lost a lot of my bottom end. With stock tires and wheels I could just punch it from a stand still and it would wheelie with ease now not so much and does not pull as hard. Will just a kit bring that back? Only clutch experience I have is putting a CV tech on a can am I had and that was like adding 10 hp to that. Would I get more of what I want from a full primary from rvs? Thanks for any info
Got my Polaris 2500 winch mounted and 3 headlight mod done today! Winch sounds nice and smooth hope it’s as good as my last super winch. Also go a lift table to work on!! I should have got one along time ago!!!
Hey guys, this is going to be the first winter with my 570. I was wondering if there’s anything I should do before I store it away next week for the winter months. I purchased a battery tender to hook up, if there’s anything else you recommend please let me know
Any recommendations to deal with this? we had a downpour, then snow then more downpour then rain before freezing at -6c temps.. so whatever water got in, did its thing and locked ‘er up solid once frozen. Can only fit key in about half way. Going to de-ice it tomorrow but what’s recommended to stop water from getting into that keyhole? Any type of covers or greases?
