does anybody happen to know a cheap place to get a rear black stock rim or one close to it? My dealer quoted me $126 for one so I’m trying to find an alternative.
I was driving home on the highway pulling the quad on my trailer and I see something black fly up in the air. I was wondering what the heck hope that wasn’t something of mine. Well when another truck came up waving at me I knew I lost something, it was my seat. I went back and got it luckily it didn’t hurt anyone else. It is structurally fine but the corners are shredded. I got a quote to recover it 195.00 bucks. I called my dealer waiting to see what they will charge. I knew something would happen lol ol Murphy ya know. On a side note love the bike so far 2105 570 touring no power steering.
Got 980 miles on the quad. I was in some deep water, but the mud wasn’t all that bad. More like sandy silt, not that thick heavy stuff that weighs a ton. I was stuck in it up to the headlights only because the quad was up on the frame on a rut.
However, when I got home and was unloading it, I head the loud clicking and popping on the rear right axle… Lower CV joint is all messed up, boot ripped apart, etc… Turns, but grinds and sticks a bit, etc…
I figure I will just replace one, rather than try to repair it and get new boots and all that. It’s got almost 1000 miles on it…
What’s the cheapest, decent axle brand? I see gorilla and Rhino, but I am trying to keep the cost down because I also need new brake pads all around, and possibly a battery… While I was in the water, I got the "Lo 10.8" message on the dash… The battery was replaced by the dealer in August when the stator burned up from the wires rubbing against the frame and shorting out… They put in a new stator, new Regt/Rect and a new battery. I insulated the stator wires so I know it isn’t that, and I see a lot of people having issues with the crappy stock battery…
Anyway, how are the Sixity brand axles, and which one is the right one for the rear right side of this quad?
Or should I go Titan, or American CV?
I don’t do deep thick mudding… It’s more aggressive trail riding, shallow mud, and when it gets deep it is usually the thinner, sandier sand and silt sorta stuff…
new to the site and tonight while riding my 570 I blew out reverse. I was pulling a buddy with my winch and had it in reverse and heard a loud noise and now no reverse but park low and high are still working good. was wondering if anyone else has had any issues with the trans
Well.. I was goin thriugh this mud hole and I got buried and in the process I noticed only 3 tires were spinning..get back to the trail and my front right axle was hanging down. Then proceeded and noticed my rear end wobbling. I look down and see the rear left tire wobbling terribly. Not sure if just the rim is bent or what but hey it was a good time though! Hope Polaris doesn’t mine picking up the tab
