570 Touring SP… any interest in new A-Arms to clear big tires?

So we can’t put big tires on our bikes, and we are stuck with these darn 14" wheels so we have to deal with pinch flats on the time.

I don’t want to lift my quad and stress the axles that way and I’m not sure how much more tire clearance I’d get out of it, so what if there was another solution?

Looking online, there are forward swept high clearance front upper and lower A arms available for some machines (XP chassis). Would anyone be interested in high clearance rear-swept arms? The back is where we have our issue. Ideally they’d be swept enough so as to fit 28’s without other modification, and be bent to increase ground clearance. I figure about $300 for the front and $300 for the rear would be about right. Thoughts?

Also, does anyone know if the XP platform or any other sportsman uses the same rear arms? What about the fronts?

570 SP Touring Grease and Zerk Fitting Info Please

I have seen a few older threads about this but I am looking to gain some additional information. I am a fairly new owner of a 2015 570 SP Touring. I am going to throw out some question here, please just answer as many as you want.

1. How many Zerk fittings does a 2015 570 SP Touring have?
2. General location for each of the Zerk fittings?
3. Tricks for getting to some of the tougher locations?
4. What is a good quality grease gun, or one that makes this particular job easier?
5. Any grease gun attachments that makes the job easier?
6. Favorite type of grease?
7. How often do you grease the machine? (I know this depends on the type of riding that you do)

Thanks for any info in advance.

Lo battery error code, again

Last time this happened, the stator wires were rubbing on the frame, wore through the insulation and shorted out, literally melting my stator.

That was 600 miles ago. I added extra insulation to my wires and it has been fine since then. The R/R was replaced at the same time, and I had a new batter installed, all under warranty…

Yesterday I was out on some really muddy trails at Durhamtown… When I would plow into a deep puddle, the quad would stall. I would get it started in a minute or two, and it would ride fine, but later in the day the "Lo 10.x) error would come on… sometimes it would stay on for awhile, other times it would go off. I pressure washed it last night and the code didn’t come back on… I will unplug and fish the stator wires out and inspect them, and repair if needed and then retape and really insulate it well… like over the top protection…

if the wires are intact and not shorting, what else would it be? The battery itself?

I have seen this happen, as has my buddy who has the same quad, when running through a stream where I know that the batter is getting submerged…

It really is a stupid place to put a battery…

Any thoughts?

If it is the battery getting wet and partially shorting out, maybe I should run large cables to the little trunk box and securely relocate the battery to there?

mud light xtr’s on 570 eps.

got a new 2016 570 eps ordered and on its way!!

the atv is for farm use. it will be used in the spring or fall for grid sampling so driving across a field from gps spot to the next one. and have a little trailer for it. and then drop it in a field so I can use it to run to farm instead of roading tractor or combine back to farm. also has snow plow for plowing race track for radar sled.

thinking of mudlight xtr stock size tires to replace stock tires on stock rims. I know boring compared to the fancy rims I can get from dennis kirk but its a work machine not trail trophy.

on the old 500 if the soil got a little slick the stock tires would spin and then start to dig down. with more aggressive tires you could travel across the ground a lot better because the machine wasn’t spinning down.

anyone have experience to say this is a bad idea?

replacing 1998 sportsman 500.

i would look at other good road mannered aggressive tires if someone knows of some.

live just down the road from dennis kirk so that is rather convenient. but I know that forums have sponsers, if you guys want to point some good sponsers out I will look at them as well. support the forum!

thanks for input.
