I just installed a snorkel your ATV snorkel kit on my 09 420. It works great, I believe the throttle response is better & helps a bit. Took me a few hours to install myself only because I came upon a slight problem. The kit that I received had one extra nipple & one extra 45° I could not make it fit for the life of me I couldn’t figure it out. So I called my brother to give me a hand & he seen the problem so once I pulled the extra nipple & 45 out. it fit like a glove once I done that. I don’t know if it is actually extra pieces but once I pulled them out it fit much better. Only problem is the plastic sticks out a bit but nothing I cant live with. Thought id share my experience with this kit shipping was pretty quick. So far I like it but instructions could have been better I kinda just looked at the pictures and put pieces together until it fit.
Ok so in a few weeks I’m going to buy a used rancher 420 sra 4×4 and I am going to be completely modding it out. One of the first things I am going to do is buy fronts 28x9x14 rears 28x11x14 mega mayhems on itp hurricanes. I was wondering if I will need to do any mods such as a clutch kit or gr?should I just go with 27"? i really want 14" rims but if I can’t pull the tires there isn’t a point. Gr are expensive and I’m wanting to stay clear of them if possible. Thanks
I have a 14 trx400x and is bone stock. I have a uni filter coming with a 40 pilot jet also. If I grind the header weld will a 1 step up pilot be sufficient and can I safely grind the weld to the tubing walls w/out it cracking in a puddle? Thank you very much for the help. Someone said they ground the weld and the quad ran bad, but I have no air box/exhaust yet.

I’ve had the front and rear evolution bags on my grizzly for 6 months. I have them fully loaded with gear and tools. I use the front center compartment to store my helmet. I ride in all weather conditions snow, rain, mud hunting etc. They are holding up great. They are water resistant not water proof. They keep my gear dry but if you wash them with hose or pressure washer the constant water pressure will find it’s way in. All things considered they are a great addition to my atv.

So I have a 06 foreman 500s with a hmf performance series exhaust and jet kit i installed the snorkel myself yesterday I used two 1 1/2" 45s about 18 inches of straight 1 1/2" PVC coming out of the air box, then I used a rubber coupler to convert from 1 1/2" to 2" I used about a foot of 2 " a 2" 90 a little more 2" and then 45 I goes straight up about 2 feet and then a 2" 90 on the end. I will be driving down the road at any speed consistent throttle for about 2-4 minutes and it’ll start sputtering and die, it takes me about 5 minutes to get it running again and then it just repeats (smells like it’s flooding) if anyone has any idea why it’s doing this please reply. I also plugged the overflow on the carb and extended the vent lines.

Wondering what’s the best route to improve the sound and aittle more umph would be a welcomed suprise without making alot of changes. Looked at just replacing the spark arrester with a aftermarket that advertises to be all that but alittle hard to beleive. Dont want to spend alot of money, but would like a little beefier sound and more power is always nice but dont want to do anything that may hurt the machine. Any suggestions?
