Hello. There are four Honda ATVS in our family, so I have looked at this forum a number of times in the past few years. This forum can provide some very good information, and you also have some members that are very helpful. But after looking at your forum a little more recently, there are a few people who answer every post they see, whether they have the right answer or not. They may have never owned a Rubicon before, but, when someone asks about a Rubicon, they answer with a guess, or with something they may have heard from another person (we call that a rumor). They will tell you that a product is junk, even though they never owned that product, or had an experience with it. They will guarantee you that a particular type of transmission will fail (which is absolutely ridiculous). And, they will write paragraphs about why you should follow their instructions, even though they have no qualifications to answer your question. They think that because they have owned a Honda for 2 years, or 30 years, they are an expert on every model. Don’t get me wrong, there are people on your forum who are qualified to answer questions. But, there are other people who have nothing better to do than to speculate and stroke their own ego by answering posts with bogus and inaccurate information. Those people are not helping anyone! If someone doesn’t have experience with brakes, then they shouldn’t be giving Brake Information. And, if they don’t understand how the electronics operate on a motorcycle or ATV, then they shouldn’t be giving advice on electronics.
I know that this is not a typical introduction for a new member. But, I have seen a few of your members lately who are misleading and confusing people because they would rather speculate or pass on bogus rumors than say nothing at all. These people do not make your forum a better forum. Instead, they just leave people confused and misdirected. I won’t mention any names, but the first letters of a few of these peoples names are W, M, J. This forum would be a much more informative place if these speculators would use the forum as it is supposed to be used (to help Honda owners solve problems and questions) instead of being used as a Facebook kind of place where rumors and speculation are normal.

First ATV: 2015 Rubicon from Ohio

Picked up a new 2015 Rubicon with the DCT and power steering.I haven’t had the chance to take out, only around the neighborhood a few times. I really like it. I almost got the Can-Am Outlander, but went with this instead and I have no regrets. Added a Warn 2500 winch to it.

I will say that when in DCT mode it really lets you know when shifting, but I’ll take it over a CVT any day. I think I prefer the "Manual" ESP mode a little more.

I plan to get storage for the rear and once these tires wear down upgrade to 26" or 27".

Any recommendations on a rear storage unit? I’m look for something that is quality and lockable. Also, I’ve seen those "flat" type gas cans. Do those lock into the front or rear racks or is there a special bracket that holds them in place?

Got a 2009 Honda Foreman 500 es. Like to ride the west va outlaw trails when we can. Not alot of local riding that I know of. Not like it used to be. GOOD OLE DAYS……

im in my 60s. retired auto mechanic .who like to buy,repair and sell anything Honda, was a dealer from 76 to 80. sold trikes, not quads. just got this old 86 TRX 350 given to me by Bro In law, hes a farmer who doesnt fix buger all. when it stops. he buys a new one, this stops in about 2004. so took it apart today.needs a starter for one. I am told the fuel pump is activated by pushing the starter button, it starts if you prime the carb and kick start it.,wont stay running, drained all old gas,added new.. has good compression, plug is clean and brown, so wasnt a oil burner. it still has factory tires on it? anyway. goijng to sell it. no patience anymore, has a new 4 ft blade and new 3500 lb warn winch still in box
