Sup peeps, checking in from B.C. Canada. Just got my first quad, a trx300, 1999.
I had a 1984 atc a while back and a few of the parts seem the same. I like the shaft drive, less so running over my own leg.
Quick question, the air filter was caked. I’ve ordered a new one but I’m not sure what it includes. The trouble is the stabilizer bracket that comes off the metal screen can part. I couldn’t see how the rubber part separated from the can part so I cut it all apart. I still can’t make heads of it, what am I missing???????
So it’s not my first post, but figured I aught to give an introduction.
Picked up a 2010 Rancher 420 4wd week before last. All manual, so I don’t know number of hours, due to no display. Only "option" is camo (AKA soon to be tan) plastics. It had a set of ITP SS108 wheels with 26" mud lite tires. Only thing it really needed was a front CV axle, which I’ve already replaced. The front bumper cover was cracked, but I’ve already got a new one of those as well.
Already planning a few small changes that will be made by the end of the year (deer season). The Mud Lites are going to go in favor of a more All-Terrain type tire. I’ll be installing Moose Utility Front (and maybe rear) bumper to better protect the plastics while pushing over brush and saplings, and the all important rifle rack to get the gun to the stand. Oh, and a 12 volt power socket, dad’s foreman has one and it’s nice to have.
Pic on trailer is when I was bringing it home, other three are ones previous owner sent me.
Funny story about that last pic, the guy in that white van in background flagged me down as I was leaving the gas station. The van was a rental and he couldn’t find the gas filler. We spent half an hour climbing all over than thing looking for it, before finally consulting Google. If you ever rent a Dodge/Mercedes-Benz Sprinter and can’t find the filler, their is a hidden compartment right behind the drivers door in the b-pillar and it’s in that door. You wouldn’t even know the door was there unless you knew to look for it, and you can’t open it unless the driver door is open.
My parents and I are all Ford as far as our truck are concerned, but when it comes to Powersports we’re getting to be all Honda. I’ve also got a Honda Shadow VT1100. My Dad has a 2009 Foreman and an ATC200 (?) of unknown year. Our first ATV was the ATC200, it was fun, but it’s been "dead" for close to a decade. Our first four wheeler was a ’95 Kawasaki KLF300, which is still going strong and all stock except for tires, it was my hunting ride until now.
After looking through some of the builds and resurrections on here I want to go see of dad still has that ATC200, I don’t think he’s hauled it off yet. Kinda want to see if I can semi restore it to putz and play around on.
Hello All, recently purchased my first Honda. A 2011 Rancher 420, factory camo. Bought from my brother as he does not use it (less than 20 hours on it). Coming from a well used 96 Polaris 500. Lots of great info here!

New member here from Southern Illinois. Just bought a new Foreman 4×4 with eps. I have had several "older" atv’s, and this is my first one that I bought new.
I found the forum and thought it might be a good source of information.

Hi everyone!
I am working on my 08 420FM adding license lights, horn, 12v socket and winch. Came here looking for help. I found the terminal for the 12v accessory socket by the RF fender, but I also found 2 switched terminals under the seat. Has anyone used these for anything useful? Should one be for the winch? It is nice to be able to download the manuals for these for free. My husbands 95 Outty no such luck.
