Category Archives: New Member Introductions

Hello from South Carolina, U.S.A.!

Greetings Honda ATV Forum Members!

I’m new to this forum. I am in the market for two new ATVs, and I think we are going Honda this time around. We have a Kawasaki, a Yamaha and two Polaris quads currently. I have been reading through the forum for a couple of weeks and decided to join. I may be asking some questions as we go through this process. Looks like a great place with a lot of very nice folks.

New and happy to be here

Been watching for a little while and happy to be a new member. I have a 2007 Honda foreman 400AT and a 2004 Foreman TRX 450. Both I bought used and the 400 is mint. The 450 has got a lot of TLC already and still needs more but I got a good deal on it and I am mechanically inclined. I hope to help as much as I am helped. Thanx in advance!

getting a headache

Why does my 1991 Honda 300 Fourtrax 4×4 run fine then suddenly die like it runs out of gas. Might ridebit 30 min or 5 hours then suddenly it dies and don’t wanna start until yli let it set for 5-20 minutes. Replaced the carb with a brand new one, emptied and cleaned gas tank, removed in tank filter and added a inline fuel filter. Nothing worked.

Need Help

I have an 87 250x frame. I am putting a 93 300ex motor into the frame. I am lost for words when it comes to the wiring diagram in the book. Do I need to literally run every wire on this diagram for this thing to run or are there basic components that make this thing run. which components are the ones that i have to wire up and which ones are the not so important components.:icon_question:icon_question:

Rancher 2003 and 2015

Hello guys: I am new to this site and anxious to further my knowledge and share about the Honda Rancher 2 well drive 4-wheeler. At the present time I own a 2003 Rancher that is 2 wheel drive and ES and since it is well used, I am picking up a new 2015 Rancher tomorrow, so it is pretty obvious that I am a believer in these machines for use on the farm. It is definitely a "workhorse"! This will be my 4th Honda ATV, the first two were 3-wheelers and now this is the second 4-wheeler. My 2003 Rancher has been a great machine; but, it didn’t come without a couple of problems. The first problem was the a bad "angle sensor". Until I made up my mind to do so some of my own work, I spent almost a $1000 taking it to the shop, 70 miles away, to try to fix the starting and ES problem. Turns out that after the third $350 trip, I learned that the angle sensor was a recall item. I never got a recall notice that I know of. The other problem I have had from the get-go is the little reverse shift switch connection located on the back lower crankcase. Very poor location design. Every weed, piece of brush or rock seems to hit that connection and pull the wire loose.
Sorry for being so long winded and I appreciate the opportunity to read about your experiences and fixes.

Thanks,

Jerry P.

new 87 350 trx owner

just wanted to say hello to everyone and am happy to be here, have read some great info. recently picked up an old 87 350trx, is in rough shape but hope to get back too working status. had several parts in boxes when I got it and have most back together now. missing a bowl for carb, if any one had one or a whole carb. once I get this part should be able to start trying to get the bike running.
