Picked up an older set of 4 12" ITP C Series (from what I can tell) aluminum wheels to fit my 2001 Fourtrax TRX350FE. Obviously being that the frout wheels are identical, I wonder what kind of spacers I will need for the rears. Looking to go with 25×10-12. Any thoughts? Thanks!
I’m new to the forum and honestly don’t know where else to turn! I just bought a used 2011 rancher 420 ES. Check all the normal stuff before I bought it, got it home and started riding. Everything was cool until we stopped for a minute. Then I turn the key on, crank it and hit the up shift button. Nothing. Just blinking neutral. The code is a 24. Which I think is the shift drive motor. Should I just buy a new drive motor?? And if I do are they hard to change out? Any help would be greatly greatly appreciated!! Oh and I should prolly mention it only does this after you’ve road it for a minute. And it’s only when you put it in neutral. If you just keep riding and keep it in a foward gear it’s all good.
I have two 36 watt leds on my other four wheeler but no computer.just got a rancher yesterday and the lights are a joke and wondering if ill hurt the computer if I buy these for my rancher
Just acquired a 2002 TRX350TM as a project. It runs good without smoke and has excellent compression. The weird thing is that it might crank like it’s new and run great for as long as I want to ride without faltering but then park and sit for a few hours and not start. The starter spins but there is no fire at the plug. A few hours later it might fire up again without any issues. Once cranked, it has not suddenly shut off. The key switch was broken and the key would come out in the on position. I have replaced it with a new OEM switch without resolution. I have looked for loose grounds. I have looked for shorts while cranking in a pitch dark shop without finding a clue. I have tried a new spark plug. Any known common pinch points on the wiring harness or other common failures? Any ignition components on these known to work intermittently? Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
finally got my rancher home and rode 15 miles and I like having a new quad but the center of gravity is really high.i have a 91 king quad and it handles a lot better and they are both irs with same ground clearance.the auto transmission is different but I like it.good turning radius also.overall I think ill like this quad but im not going higher than 25s when I get tires.i just hope it has the power for these hills in western n.c
I have a 2011 TRX420 ES 4×4. I went to start it and all I got was a noise comming from somewere under the seat. I figured I had a dead battery (this is the original battery = around 5 years old). I hooked up my charger to the battery and it started up. So I figured I need a new battery and pulled it. I then checked the voltage on the battery and it was 12.3 volts :icon_ nono2:
question is … do I need a new battery or is something else wrong with it?
Note: All the connections were tight and clean.
After much frustration in dealing with older four wheelers, namely my ’99 Foreman 450, I decided to take the plunge and purchase a new four wheeler.
Initially, I was cruising craigslist to see if there were any good deals out there. People were asking the same amount for a 2-3 year old bike that I could buy brand new. So, I ended up going to the Honda/Polaris dealer in my town and started looking. The sales guy was really pushing the Polaris 570 on me really hard and I was really looking at it seriously. He did not even want to show me the Hondas as they were priced a allot higher, even though I explained I am a Honda atv guy.
The deal did not go through as they misquoted me the price by $1,000 and did not want to honor the paperwork that I had signed. So, I ended up driving 45 minutes away to Brookhaven Honda and looked at all of the Hondas they had in stock. The Rancher I bought was over $2,000 cheaper than the previous dealership. I also got the atv I really wanted.
I was having a tough time between the Foreman and the Rancher, but the Rancher won. I have only done three things to the bike since I got it. 27" ITP Mud Lites, superwinch terra 35, and a rear drop basket. My bike has IRS, DCT, EPS, 4×4.
I have been searching online and can’t seem to find what I am looking for. So I’m just going to ask.
I have a 14′ Rancher 4×4 manual shift.
On the drive shaft or final drive, what comes out of motor and connects to the differential. The black shaft has a round piece that looks to be press fitted to cover the seals/connect into the differential. It’s not the black boot that covers the connection at the motor.
This week that round piece has come loose and is just spinning on the shaft. I can’t find a lock screw or anything to hold it in place.
A friend of mine had a problem with his Honda ATV ES shifting. He found the perfect solution by purchasing a hand shifter from ES Bolt on Foot or Hand Shifter for Honda ATVs They apparently offer a foot shifter as well. Thought I would pass this information along just in case it might help someone else as he doesn’t have a computer.
